Cort + 30 other guys with multiple capable sprinters. It's not like its a 5 men group with Cort where he is the absolute clear cut favorite, in that case I would understand.

Obviously Cort is a top 2 favorite in that group, so it's very understandable as Leknessund would lose from the front group 95% of the time.

Maybe you're right, but in a larger sprint, more can go wrong. It's not a given it comes down to a sprint if a small group comes through. But thinking about it it probably makes more sense why he isn't racing.
