Still scored more than half of his seasonal CQ score in this race despite only coming 5th. Yet another race where he could have scored more though.
5th honestly looked like about his level to me this week. I was more referring to two Decathlon guys coming around the corner and none of them turning out to be Gall.

It's becoming frustrating and I fear that he'll loose minutes on the hectic early Tour road stages.

That Prodhomme interview was nice. His English was precious, it sounded like he had learned his English while watching Elmer Fudd cartoons.... Be Vewe vewe Quwiet I'm hunting wabbit. LOL Just kidding a bit but he deserved the win got back up to Seixas fast and looked like if he was on a different team could have pulled a gap on (SEXYASS) LOL I don't know that he could have kept a gap or not, or beaten Seixas in a sprint but you in most instances give the win to a guy like Prodhomme.

My impression is that we have a 2012 Pozzovivo situation with him being too hot too early, while the Giro opposition is rather beatable. Anyway, I'll cheer for Jai Hindley.
In defense of Pozzovivo zero chance he could have known everyone of the favorites in the end messed up his preparation.

Even Rujano got sick additional to Basso & Co being slightly off shape.

Hesjedal's shape was alright.

Rodríguez' tactics were abysmal.

Magnificent race. Weak teams and course design that made attacking from afar possible along with ultra mythical climbing levels from Michael Storer who was in a different league to the rest of the GC pretenders.

The classic Italian GPS timings kept us all informed and misinformed at the same time and the last we saw of the GC group minus Storer and Arensmann was 35km or so from the finish until 200 metres before they crossed the finish line.
