It's almost May, so time to get this set up.
Same as has been the case for however many years it is since the team size in GTs changed from nine riders to eight:
You need a team of 8, who must all be on the final Giro startlist, with a total cost of no more than 3500 points: those names must be with me before the race starts in Bulgaria on Friday 8th May (not at the weekend, and an afternoon, not evening, start: don't get caught out). Send your teams to me by PM (envelope icon at the top right)
The price of each rider is his CQ points gained in the 12 months to May 3rd: please wait until these prices are confirmed by CQ on Monday May 4th before considering your team ready to submit (but by all means think about it and try some permutations in advance).
There is a spreadsheet (here on Google Drive) that will give you the prices, the startlist in as close to an up-to-date form as I can find, and the version of riders' names that I would be grateful if you would use. That should make participation a bit easier.
The earlier you send me your team, the sooner I can check any budget of eligibility issues: any not corrected in time will see the rider in question (the cheapest that can be removed and replced in budget in the case of an overspend) with the most expensive participating rider that fits in budget (and first alphabetically within that if necessary)
Your team will score according to GC position, top 10s in stages and the points and KoM classifications, and Pink jersey wearing.
There is a minor classification (the purplish points) based on stage points only. Details of the points that can be won are on the Google Docs spreadsheet as well.
There should be daily updates (I am travelling at, and either side of, the penultimate weekend, so the corresponding stage updates might be rather late. And real life might intervene in other ways)
I hope that explains as much as you need to know, and that in trying to keep it brief for long-term players I haven't omitted anything important for newcomers. Do please ask if anything is unclear/prompt me if I have forgotten anything important.
