2026 Spring Classics CQ Game

Uhm... I don't have Lund in this game.
I suspect Josedin might like those points.

Ooops, absolutely right. When I saw that you had scored well, and that a Dane had a high score as a unique pick, I just assumed.

But the points were correct regardless: Josedin did get those points, but unfortunately for him, no others. And your points, as I noted, were mainly from Laporte, Mozzato and Stuyven.

But I'll go back and give Josedin credit for that clever pick, and everyone else can just be bemused by this little exchange.

Race 16 Dwars door Vlaanderen

De Ronde is traditionally the biggest scoring event of the series: tomorrow should be a big scorer

Race 18 Ronde van Vlaanderen

As predicted, the highest scoring race in the series, so far (and probably to remain such)
As predictable, no-one selecting the winner for budget reasons.

DJW remains the only team that has 4 riders in profit (that is, spring classics this year > whole of last year), although that landmark was actually reached several races ago; everyone has at least 1 rider that has not yet scored (Crabbe, Nys and Widar can be held to blame for most)

I'm not expecting very many points from the Scheldeprijs on Wednesday: the top sprinters are generally omitted for price reasons*, but there will surely be some of our picks making the scoring 30.

*: save for Onizuka's investment in Philipsen

Out of last place. I can start paying attention again. I expect to move up two more places when Healy and Vidar top 5 the last two races.

Race 19: Scheldeprijs

The crashes were not really significant in this game: Philipsen giving up in the last 50 metres will make some difference, and Crabbe (the 3rd most popular pick) finally gets points in his sixth race that is part of this set.

Among those that scored, the gaps are minimal. The gap to those that didn't score isn't huge either.

Crabbe getting points means that DJW and Del 1962 tie in becoming the first to have all their riders scoring. Josedin has 7 for whom he is still waiting, and of the 5 that Evans is still waiting for, 4 never will get CQ points, and one certainly won't in the five remaining races.

The last of the cobbled events is on Sunday: you can remind yourself of who you might have to contest the other remaining races in the spreadsheet.
