Startlist:
http://www.e3-harelbeke.be/nl/wedstrijd ... emers-2015

Last ten editions:

2014 SAGAN Peter
2013 CANCELLARA Fabian
2012 BOONEN Tom
2011 CANCELLARA Fabian
2010 CANCELLARA Fabian
2009 POZZATO Filippo
2008 ARVESEN Kurt Asle
2007 BOONEN Tom
2006 BOONEN Tom
2005 BOONEN Tom

Who will win this edition?
Vanmarcke the strongest rider of Het Volk
Sagan after he ended his drought in T-A.
Stybar or Terpstra to show that they do not need Boonen to win a cobbled classic
Stannard
Cancellara the master of the cobbles.

Vanmarcke should be a good pick, but his strong showings during the end of February and the first half of March suggest he'll try to peak towards Paris - Roubaix, so I'm not convinced he'll go for it tomorrow. But if a chance presents itself, he'll take it.
I expect Etixx to blkow the race apart in order to see what's the best to do in Boonen's absence.

I think Boonen's absence could help in a way. If Stybar would have been the leader in Omloop rather than Boonen, I'm pretty sure he would have won - he looked the strongest rider on the day. Surely they will ride mostly for Stybar tomorrow, rather than letting Terpstra and Vandenbergh get outsprinted again.

And how exacty, and where, did you saw that he was the strongest that day. It's a kind of a mystery to me.., will you please explain.
Anyway GVA for me

Just how comfortable he looked on the bike all day, I think he'd easily have made the final selection if nearly half of his team hadn't already made the break. Also the hindsight of knowing how good he was in Strade Bianche, he would have also been on top form at Omloop.

Etixx always have to support Boonen in cobbled races in Belgium (rightly so with his record); without him though Stybar will have the chance to shine.

Yeah, the MVP of that day was Vanmarcke, who did 80% of the work for 40km (GVA did the other 20%), while Stybar wheelsucked. That's why he looked comfortable.

Of course he wheelsucked at the end - he's not going to help chase down a breakaway, 75% of which were his team mates  . The whole race he looked very strong, but never got to play his hand.

My favorite non-monument cobbled race and first race of the year on the cobbles for Spartacus. Sadly, I will be traveling to a race of my own and will likey miss it. I say:

*****Canc, Sagan, GVA, Stybar
****Terpstra, Vanmarcke, Thomas
***Stannard, Kristoff
**Boom, Pozzato, Degenkolb, Paolini, EBH
*GVK, Vandenbergh, Roelandts

Maybe we should create a seperate thread for everyone who can't watch the race live, arrange a new date and hour to watch it at the same time and discuss the race as if it was live :p

That is indeed the problem with this date. I thought in Belgium it is a holiday today.

So British Eurosport are showing live snooker this afternoon so are just showing extended highlights of E3 after Catalunya is finished. Wish Sky sports would just bid for all rights, With 5 channels they would easily accommodate every race that's broadcast.
