The day we discovered the cases of Alberto Contador, Ezequiel Mosquera, David García and Ricardo Riccó. We have to wait for the end of those sad cases, and maybe not all of them will be banned, but isn't it, anyway, one of the worst days for pro cycling?

Of course, it's good to punish dopers, but positive cases are always a sad thing.

Is this going to be remembered as 30-S in cycling history?

History has a habit of repeating itself. Sadly but not surprisingly positive tests are and will always will be a part of Cycling. The dopers will get their a$$es whipped. And rightly so. It certainly won't be the last time that high profile riders will get busted or other riders for that matter. They take a chance. Some get away with it some don't. Thats the reality of it. Yes sad but true. But one has to remember that there are clean riders out there also. As the saying goes those who live by the sword die by the sword. And frankly I have not an iota of sympathy for those idiots who are caught. Thats their own hard luck. A relatively shorts career. A chance to make some big money. A syringe = the possibility of mega$$. Testosterone patches. Epo . Blood Tranfusions. Steroids, ect ect, to name but a few. P-E-D'S galore. = A chance for mega$$. In all honesty if one put a substance in front of A sports person. And that person was told that this substance can go undetected and with that the wry smile comes across that individuals face. Staring at something that could earn them Millions. And for a price they seize the opportunity. Hoping that they will ride off into the sunset by going undetected on the doping Radar. Even risking one's health in the process, akin to a Junkie looking for that high, for the chance of Survival, Fame and fortune, in a murky underworld that when things are going well all stand to gain.$$$$$. Welcome to the dirty world of Professional Cycling.

Weren't we meant to be getting some sort of annoucement from one of the teams today (Liquigas?)...?

It was Liquigas. They will ride in 2011 as Liquigas-Cannondale after announcing the partnership yesterday. Prehaps now they'll finally change those vomit jerseys :D

This is awful. I'm not so naive to think that cycling is clean, but it had been nice not having high profile positives for a bit. It at least seemed like it was cleaner, until today.
