A rider has 45 seconds with 18 to go. Thats probably it
Mortensen attacked the group which had the bunch at +45". Not clear whether he has that gap or not.

G1: Mortensen
G2: remains of break which may or may not include the Planckaert trio, since he punctured at one point, no idea where they are relative to break and bunch
G3: péloton

OK so now Mortensen has been caught by Pichon and Vachon and this trio apparently has 10" over the duo Planckaert-Claeys, who've dropped the third wheel of their group.

All good, my stream keeps stopping so I was not sure. Its a little more exciting with the smaller gap. 45 seconds would have been huge

Vachon is the strongest, he's done all the turns that have helped pull Mortensen. Pichon is either bluffing or empty.

No, he's empty, Mortensen goes again and Pichon can't do anything. Vachon chases back on. Pichon only returns when they play cat and mouse. Chasing quartet very close now, they can't afford to let them catch with Gène and Williams both having pretty good sprints on them... the quartet catch just as the sprint is setting out and ONE Pro Cycling go 1-2 with Mortensen winning towing Williams to 2nd with Florian Vachon getting 3rd...

Vachon was clearly the strongest, but just didn't know how to win a race. Also, Mortensen & Pichon were able to attack but not ride due to teammates in the group behind. Vachon was doing the pulling and playing the re-active role instead of pro-actively going for a win.

He should have immediately counter-attacked after catching Mortensen just short of 1 km banner. That would have put Pichon out of race for sure and probably taken care of pursuiters too... So WORST what could have come up was 1 vs 1 against Mortensen (who IMO was ready to crack but was then given 700 meters of recovery time.

Besides, Vachon managed to screw up the positioning for sprint as well. How the heck one takes a spot behind Pichon after he had shown all the signs of being DEAD.

Mortensen was a worthy, aggressive winner but Vachon lost this more than Martin won it...
