It looks like a good race. I shall say one of Moreno, Quintana and Madrazo to win as the new Movistar signings.

Voeckler could go well here and i think Fedrigo ( after his Criterium International ) performance could as well.

Fedrigo fully recovered from his Dauphine crash?

3)Manuel Belletti (AG2R La Mondiale)
4)Mickael Delage (FDJ - Big Mat)

7)Jimmy Casper (Saur-Sojasun)
8)Enrique Sanz (Movistar)

10)Fabien Bacquet (Auber 93)

Poulhiès wins in his hometown. :)

Yeah, the Pellizotti comeback is what we all have been waiting for...

I hope for Kenny Elissonde to show something here. That's the terrain where he won last year's Ronde de l'Isard. The first part of this season has been pretty disastrous.

Great and stunning finish today on stage 1 of the 36th edition of the Route du Sud, with the win of Stéphane Pouilhès (Saur-Sojasun) in its hometown of Albi (world heritage site since 2011). The last kilometer was epic with the crossing of the Tarn river on the old red brick bridge, two curves, a climb of 400 meters at 7% and last 100 meters with cobbles.

Christian Prudhomme saw the finish and will follow stage 2 between Castres and Saint-Michel, tomorrow.

Videos of the finish and interviews (Voeckler, Fédrigo, Démare, Prudhomme, Mangeas) to follow tomorrow on the race website.

Thanks for the pictures. :)

I love this little stage rage. Beautiful southern France, so far only winners I like and tomorrow this great Pyreneen stage.
I like it too , especially when I can not only recognized the riders but my legs remember these roads and some of the face in the crowd look so so familiar
can't wait for tomorrow
