Quintana not getting a wild card as a two time winner is ridiculous. It shows that nepotism and nationalism are still more important to organizers than quality.

****Landa, Sosa
***S. Yates, Carapaz
**Valverde, Mas, Bennett
*Bilbao, Majka, Evenepoel, Gaudu, Chaves, Soler, Aru

Maybe they thought he got invited like everyone else. It is crazy, usually past winners are awarded to come, especially if in good form which he showed.

I'm not so much shocked that Arkea didn't get invited, as surprised that the organisers only published the list of teams two days before the race. Isn't it usually done a little bit earlier?

Anyway...

1 day to go!

I think it might end up to be for his best.
I wouldn't be surprised if France or Italy impose a quarantene for riders coming from Spain.

Stage 1 will be interesting already. Last year Nizzolo won on the same finish, but this year the competition is way harder. So it will be interesting to see if someone like Bennett, Gaviria or Nizzolo can win, or if it is for someone punchier like Trentin or maybe Stuyven. Ghirmay could also surprise.

Israeli rider Itamar Einhorn, 22, was slated to start Tuesday’s five-day Burgos tour. Einhorn did not test positive for COVID-19 in pre-race screenings, but team officials will not start him Tuesday in the first stage of the Burgos tour because he was in close contact with another team rider who did.
Omer Goldstein, a 23-year-old Israeli rider, recorded a positive result for COVID-19 in team-ordered controls on Monday. Goldstein was not scheduled to race the Burgos tour and remains at his home in Girona, Spain.
