not so sure. week is not a long time, it was a big improvement but I am still not sure he has what it takes to win lbl again.

Friere man, that was a great effort I was really hoping he survived but always knew... :(

poor form from the dutch guys racing, especially rabobank.

well he was pretty crap two weeks ago and made a great improvement. He looked good today but just went too early. You cant compare him to last years gilbert.

Cunego was looking really good. Dumb way to throw it away crashing uphill
Would think that someone who's been pro for 10 years would know how to ****ing steer a bike uphill.

I'm not, but he hardly looks leagues above anyone at the moment, so LBL is fair game. He'll be a chance ofc.

FW might be too hard for him without top form.

The distance of a classic reeks havoc. Some big names missing. The played Gilbert out. Oscar made the dash, and ruined it for Gilbert.

Gilbert/BMC shouldn't have let Freire go. That forced him to start the sprint too early and then run out of steam before the finish.

Great ride by vanendert too. He'll be a winner here at one point.

indeed. That was a mistake, smartly ridden by his opponents behind too.

Great ride by Astana! Gasparotto made it 3rd last year btw, so it was not that unexpectable!
FINALLY some from Astana's "classics duo" lives up to expectations.

Now if only Iglinsky could show the same in races that are not Strada Bianchi.

And yeah -- teamwork was really good throughout the race.

I don't get why Gilbert spent so much time at the front, with only one guy in front of him? He must have tired himself out in so many kilometers.

They might ride for evans at FW. If the schlecks attack again at LBL he can follow and might have a good chance.

Cunego messing up Nordhaug and himself. That was stupid.

And a massively epic daring attack by Freire there, I was hoping he'd win.

Bit disappointing that Sagan managed to miss out again. He's up there in every classic, but always lacks that last bit to actually win one of them.
