Why this singling out of Orica? There were 20 other teams who also didn't win.

Cause they had the 2 biggest favourites and as always is riding negatively, nobody likes that apart from Aussies

I am apart of a 100+ cadel based fan group who still comments on races and no one, not a singular rider likes the way Gerrans rides.

I cannot stand your posts

Very strong ride by Valgren. Great to see. Lack of experience cost him the win - you're never gonna win by leadouting Gasparotto like that.

Good to see attacks being rewarded.

I don't really care if you like my posts or not, do you feel singled out as an Aussie?

The old route should come back. That way most people may not wait for Cauberg.
Though I don't have a problem with a 1.8 km after Cauberg.

Before start, Nordhaug said that Sky had "by far the best team".

In hindsight, well...maybe not.

He was certainly never going to win sitting up either though. Nice brinkmanship by Gasparotto, and credit to Valgren for at least giving himself the chance of a win. There was the possibility that Gasparotto would have been completely cooked and unable to sprint.

Don't think either rider did much wrong in the run in there.

The moment they went to the front en masse everybody knew it was just a team GB Firenze rehash. Awful race.

Wanted Wellens to win but the Lotto's and Orica's chased him down only to do nothing in the end.

Nice to see Gerrans helping out his teammates after all the time he's relied on them over the years to pull the peloton along and deliver him to the line.

Also, got to love how strade bianche isn't a WT race yet Amstel is with this course

Thank God that Strade Bianche isn't a WT race. Has good riders and good racing with teams who all choose to be there and so provide us a great race.
Strade Bianche is a Women's WT race, but that's a bit different as the invite system is different and teams can turn down invites (it's something like the top 15 must be invited, but can turn down if needed, to save budget. I kind of wish the men's WT would be like this, although there aren't as many Euskaltel-at-Roubaix or first-year-Orica-at-the-Giro outliers anymore).

The only thing Amstel really needs is to go back to the 2009-11 type course but move the finish to where it is now. I like the current finish, but I hate that final circuit. Give me Keutenberg and Eyserbosweg in the last 30km at least.

I think Valgren realized that he would not win. Gasparotto didn't want to take another pull, so he just decided to ride to the finish, at least he would get a podium.

Despite being a quite attractive race, it still remains a *** race for me. Don't know why, but it's too much a criterium for me.

Hopefully Purito recovers for FW next wednesday. I love the Mur.

Apologies for the remark, i was just a little annoyed reading it first up

Just saying most Aussies would prefer Gerrans go from 25km out in Liege.

I cannot even stand Little Richie Porte or Matthews.

We are a strange country supporting our riders

Can't blame Valgren, had he not pulled they'd probably have been caught by the pack. Oh well, nothing redeemable about today's race.
