Well, it's 220+ kms tomorrow, however there's no major mountains in the middle of the stage, so it's unlikely that Fuglsang would lose a huge amount on that climb to the finish

The finish apparently has some very steep gradients right?
Could lose 30 seconds there but not anymore.

Vrecer was really strong. Not sure about his contract status, but surely teams will be looking to sign him. And hopefully not just because of the points.

Looks like it was a great stage, anybody know how to watch a replay of it or if its online eventually. RSNT may of had a bad year but have been doing well in Tour of Lux until know.

That's a huge win for Fuglsang. Much better than doing domestique work in the Tour and maybe getting top 15.

This will probably not interest many people but I am very surprised at Laurent Didier's performances  He is very tall and skinny but has never really shown any climbing talent, now all of a sudden he is scratching at the Top-10 on Kitzbüheler Horn and Grossglockner

From BMC's Facebook, how to keep tabs on the other riders in the top 12 in a race with no radios:

This was before stage 3. Funnily enough Fuglsang (16 RNT) is not on the list because he was in 15th!

To be fair, he has a favourable physiology. I always saw him as a climbing domestique type rider. The fact that he always had to play the teammate part meant he'd pull all out for some K's on a climb (see: TdS, Giro 2011) and then pop out to prepare for the following day.
IIRC he has always considered himself a mountains and hill guy too.

When he first signed for Saxo Bank Kim Andersen said he hoped he could be a good climber one day! It's true what you say about the Giro 2011 - he always had to work hard early in the stages and then in the real mountains Contador's private armada took over so we never really got to see him. The fact that we now get to see him maybe means he's moved up a little bit in the team hierarchy, even though as roundabout rightly points out it's a pretty weak field. But even within his own team to outclimb Busche and especially Zaugg is remarkeable! I hope this way he can impress his team a little more and hopefully get to do this more often in the future!

He is also all skin and bones. Maybe skinnier than usual.

Still a big surprise to see him looking rather comfortable on HC climbs even if it is not the greatest of fields.

Thanks for the picture @roundabout!

Hope so. He's a very nice chap when you get to know him in person. I wish nothing but the best for him, really. Like his dad, too. Charismatic man. Only has the best interest of the team in mind.

After what happened between Bruyneel and Fuglsang, I hope he takes the overall.

he is the champion of Luxembourg, isn't he? What about the jersey, it seems to be even less visible than before

Congrats to Fuglsang- for winning the stage and taking the GC lead/ for doing it after failing the day before and also doing it as a perfect riposte to Bruyneel.

Indeed, he does not seem to be wearing it. That's just standard kit all around.
