Who is the biggest talent in Colombia at the moment btw? I think it is Miguel Ángel López, but perhaps i'm wrong.

is hard to say due to clinical things but I think lopez definitely has enormous talent. 4-72 1995 riders like aguire are also very talented. antioquia riders too. especially ramirez botero (itt) and jader betancurt

I think from 95, JF Osorio is much more talented then Aguirre. Aguirre has not showed a whole lot besides winning the Vuelta Povenir last year. But that route was kinda disappointing.

Botero I agree, but it is hard to compare ITT talents from south america to the rest of the world. In Betancur I have my doubts but he has been performing strong lately. I would however rate guys as Rodrigo Contreras, Bernardo Suaza (although I have to say I did not know him before this year) and Brayan Ramirez as bigger talents.

Thx, really loving Jader Betancur. No doubt he will shine in the future.

I discovered a interesting move from Eduardo Sanchez. Apparently his contract with Funvest is terminated on 31 july, and he signed a contract with Formesan Bogota. So he is competing in this Vuelta a Colombia.

Did he want to return to Colombia?

And some other thing i want to know, is why Yors Santofimio (one of the 1995 guys of 4-72) has terminate his contract at 31/7. Were they not happy about them? Was he too young? Or was it his own decision?

Also Uran and Rivera (due to the data fraud) are gone, but i can understand that.

I won't rate a young colombian rider quickly as an itt talent but I will in ramirez and gaviria;'s(short distance) case. gaviria is a multiple world champion as well in juniors.

brayan ramirez has stagnated a lot. he's build too big and he won't improve much. bernardo suaza no doubt is a huge talent. only been bike racing for less than 2 years

I didn't know santofimio was gone. rivera's date fraud has been proven?

Yeah, the contracts of Uran, Rivera and Santofimio are terminated at 31/07, and instead they bought 3 other riders (Carlos Pulgarin Velgara, Cristian Serrano Forero and William Sanchez Giraldo).

Rivera i will look it up, but that's the only logical conclusion i can make if they terminate his contract.

pulgarin has bene part of the team for entire year. they got avellanedo who I don't know.

Yeah you're right. Was looking wrong. But still weird Santofimio is gone, however.

Funvic is changing the team roster constantly throughout the season just to keep within the UCI's 16-rider limit for continental teams. So depending on which rider they need for upcoming races they terminate/start contracts.

It's hilarious.

they don't really terminate contracts. they just unregister them at their team. however the colombians are really gone. this happens with all ct teams in south america. like colombian teams as well. half the team isn't even registere.d

God, look at Cardenas hair:eek:

Rujano looks good. Be as good as in 2009 will be a illusion perhaps, but his 2010 level was also really good, and will be good for the race.

so is there hope that this great race will be broadcasted decent on tv? last years was really bad
i hope someone could record it :) i don't think we got the luck to catch some good live streams...

Last year you could see the final TT live on a stream, so perhaps it's possible to see the entire race somewhere.

I will look for a decent stream.

Sad news from the Gobernacion del Tachira-Concafe team. Rider Alvaro Ivan Torres Durango (who wasn't selected for this race) has died from a hart infarct while being on a training ride.

The team will continue to participate however, but weren't at the openings festivities.
