It's like Lance in his pomp - you know he's going to win the race before it starts, you know he can out-TT all the other contenders, so you just hope against hope somebody can put time into him in the mountains, then he goes and wins every mountain stage too.

I'm almost completely apathetic. Thanks for ruining the race, David.

It's a far cry from the 5 minutes between 1st and 10th that they had when Rui Sousa won here in 2008.

Got to agree with that.

Too bad for Rui Sousa, so close. That last km lasts forever, or at least it used to until today.

Not the best stage to Serra da Estrela ever.

Blanco winning the ITT tomorrow will make it interesting too. Sérgio Ribeiro now in a good position for it, though he may have to wrest it back from Blanco on Sunday.

Blanco has now sewn up the Mountains jersey, after Sérgio Sousa beat Oleg Chuzhda to the top of the only climb of the day. There's now only 5 points available, and Blanco's lead is 8.

It wouldn't be that much fun if Blaco sweeps all the jerseys (not the Orange), but in that you're right, it would be interesting to see the White jersey change hands tomorrow, and then again on Sunday.

It was a shame for Chuzda, he has been in breaks almost everyday. It was a very nice race from him. I don't know if there is a Super Combatif award, but it would be between him and Sella, also very active in the last few days.

That was a daft bit of sprinting from beardybarbosa yesterday.
Left hand barrier, straight over to the right hand barrier.
Jimmy Engoulvent could have ended up in the crowd.

Sad that we are nearly at the end.
At 2 weeks long, it's the 4th GT.........well, in Europe, at least.;)

Alejandro Marque a bit miffed to lose his chain within sight of the FL.
Still managed to take the lead, though.

Thanks. Maybe you have some more updates?
