No TV coverage, but apparently Jonas Rapp is currently doing the biggest mountain raid of the year.
Attacked early from the bunch on the Großglockner, caught the breakaway, dropped everyone but Pöstelberger, dropped him with 70kms to go and went solo over the Großglockner, over 4min ahead of a main bunch that has been reduced to 20 riders.

Sad there‘s no Superman here. He’d be leading by 3 minutes now.

Is stage 5 too hard for Narvaez?
On paper yes. Jayco and UAE also both have 3 riders in the top 10 on the gc, so they both should send someone on the attack before the final climb (guys like Formolo and Sobrero).
That said, if Narvaez gains some more bonus seconds tomorrow and it all comes down to the final climb on stage 5 he has a chance.

You should check ServusTV On, it‘s free, German or Austrian VPN should work

Thanks for the info!

Reading some statements, Zoidl thinks that Narvaez can win the whole thing. Martin Messner was happy with his performance, but wanted a higher tempo on the Großglockner. I know he's a young guy, but on those gradients and speeds below 20km/h you don't loose anything by upping the pace yourself, just saying...

Yeah, but politics because he won't re-sign...
Sobrero is actually pretty good on muritos/short, steep climbs.

Obviously, Sobrero is moving for money, but it seems a strange decision to move to Bora as he'll be right down the pecking order, whereas he was given leadership opportunities at Jayco - Anyway, Yates will be disappointed because he is one rider support.

My guess is that he's gonna replace Konrad. Domestique in most races and chances to ride for himself in some shorter stage races and one day races + ITTs. Him with the Specialized TT set-up could be interesting.

Does Yates really deserve a whole lot of support these days? A couple of riders is all he needs which he’s got

Sobrero wins the reduced group sprint from Englehardt and Boros. Sobrero should be at the TDF.
His first non TT win as a pro.
Jayco can go bananas today with 3 riders behind Narvaez in the GC and a very tough stage to come.

Curious about Alpecin as well. Il Bandito should love the final climb but he's never ridden against this sort of field.

Sobrero can also win a stage if he gets into the break - As it stands the Jayco team only has Groenewegen who can definitely win a stage - Yates would need to drop out of GC to win a stage - You have missed the bigger picture which is that Sobrero was down to ride the Giro but when the team had injuries in April, they asked Sobrero to lead at the Ardennes and he rode nearly every race in April. The team switched him to the TDF once they realised Hamilton would be unfit because he was in Australia for over a month visititing his dying Dad - Sobrero was the Hamilton replacement for the TDF but it seems once Jayco found out he was leaving the the team he was suddenly out of the TDF squad. Finally, the only mountain type support rider Yates has is Harper.

I suspect the two strongest Jayco riders are DePena and Berhe - It's a pity that Berhe suffered a late mechanical in stage one and lost 42 seconds. I agree it will be an interesting stage.

I don't get the weird choice of dates for this race.

Start on a sunday and finish on a thursday (the same day as Sibiu starts)? Why not start like on wednesday or thursday of last week, run away from Le Tour's grand depart at least for a few days and allow for teams and riders to do both Osterreich and Sibiu if they want.
