Actually, It's a little bit unstable now. It might rain in the next couple of stages. No high temperatures yet for Portugal on August.

Today they finish at Oliveira do Bairro*. Should come down to a sprint. Sergio Ribeiro to smoke the competition on the line it's my wish, although I'm not sure what sprinter barbot will be working for on this stage (Felipe Cardoso?). If they choose Cardoso they might get the jersey today. If they choose Ribeiro they are in a good position to take the jersey tomorrow on Monte da Nossa Sra. da Assunção.

*Edit1:Is the exact same finish as last year?

Davide Riccibiti (Farnesi Vini - Neri), Fabricio Ferrari (Caja Rural) e Thomas Vaubourzeix (La Pomme) on a breakaway with 06:49 on the peloton with 70 km to go.

LA-Antarte holds the yellow jersey but DS refuses to put men on the front of the peloton. There are teams with sprinters that could get the yellow jersey after the bonications. He feels those teams should do the work.

Prio-tavira, Onda-Boavista and Barbot-Efapel come to a an agreement and start cutting time on the break. 06:03 minutes now. 3rd category climb coming soon. 7 km at 6 %.

@ dekker: I think He's already enjoying the sun, the podium ladies and a few drinks at the finish line:D

RE: guardini. The climb is a bit far from the finish. He might make it, but that doesn't mean he will have an easy win. Assuming the finish is the same as last year, there's a slight uphill on the finish line and kind of a lumpy parcours as you get closer to it.

So if this Chipotle/Garmin thing doesn't work, he has a place on the portuguese peloton. We would welcome you Dekker.

They are about to cross the finish line for the first time. They will go on to Sangalhos, host of the U23 European Track Championships a couple of days ago. A place of good memories for Ella Viviani. Then back to Oliveira Do Bairro.

18km and the gap is 48 seconds
