ITT weather forecast, 8 C and 50% chance of a shower around 15.00. Guys going out later might have an advantage.

The rain will probably come after 16h, but it will also rain a little before the stage.

The best conditions will probably be for Asgreen and Nelson Oliveira + Ivo Oliveira, Cavagna, Castroviejo, Cerny, Hayter fighting for the stage win.

Unfortunately, he has a beautiful wife...
it's not a particularly technical course, so I wouldn't think wifes or wet roads will be a major factor.

There's still s an advantage to start in the dry, of course, but someone like Castroviejo would easily lose 2 minutes to Sheffield in equal conditions today. So I honestly struggle to see how he can become a contender for the win.

Two minutes, what? Even Ganna wouldn't beat him by that much on a 15km ITT

Sheffield is better than Ganna.

But what I meant to say is, that an outside chance of minimal rain - at varying times, depending on which forecast you look at - doesn't change anything about the favorites.

If you say that the guy who only has one ITT win, and that was only in a PRO race, is better than Ganna then that must be true.
it's irrelevant for the discussion anyway. But when the chance of rain is only 20-30%, I just don't see the point in trying to precisely predict the time of it 6 hours in advance, let alone base a favorites' prediction on it.

Expected rain around 16h.

16u00: Magnus Sheffield
16u11: Thymen Arensman
16u41: Egan Bernal
16u51: Simon Yates
16u57: Adam Yates
17u01: Aleksandr Vlasov
17u03: Juan Ayuso
17u09: Ilan Van Wilder
17u11: Luke Plapp
17u15: Thibau Nys

So Hayter is gonna win.
