Ongoing list of men's races shortened/neutered/cancelled due to natural phenomena (or, in certain cases, 'bad weather') this season:
- Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana
- Vuelta a Murcia
- Stage 1 of Gran Camiño
- Stage 3 of Gran Camiño
- All four stages of Tour of Antalya
- Queen stage of Tirreno
- Stage 6 of Paris-Nice
- Ronde van Drenthe
- Stage 13 of the Giro
- Mont Ventoux Challenge
- and now possibly the queen stage of this

Definitely the worst season for (non-Covid-related) changes and cancellations in a long time...

That could be a great thread by itself, with a chart showing the frequency each year for the last 20, 30, 50? years....the more data the better of course.

The potential rockslide is in Brienz/above it and until now the road between it and Lantsch/Lenz has been closed (since Easter), no main roads.
ATM the Albulastraße and the Pass are boh open.
It‘s a pretty well-monitored situation, the problem is known and constantly observed, I think if the road is going to be closed, it‘s going to be a bit in advance, so it doesn‘t look too bad right now.

Only stage on of Gran Camino got cancelled. The rest just got Vingegaarded.
Stage 3 was shortened, though, iirc an early climb was cut out and the final ramp was shortened, because it had snowed heavily overnight. All the snow had melted by racetime so there wouldn‘t even have been snow at the roadside but I think a large number of route change decisions are taken after riders look out of the window in the morning and see miserable weather.

A combination of more extrem weather and a more and more careful approach - cycling really needs to come up with a better concept as the weather phenomenons will get a lot worse.

At least a rock slide is a real reason. How many of the other stages had legitimate reasoning other than tough conditions?

Sods law. If you are going to shorten/cancel stages then you should really be doing so before the action starts so everyone knows what to expect.
