D ick Pound says he confronted Verbruggen years ago with "Hein you have a serious problem on your hand here" and Hein responded with "we'll that is the fans fault. The fans don't want to see 25 km/h TDF's, they want to see 41, 42 km/h races". D ick was obviously staggered by Hein's response.

It's all good. I like it when people jump all over you for doing something like this as if they have never done something equally egregious or worse! it'sa freaking message board, it's not like we're loving cancer and hating miracles or anything
