Adblock does nothing.

I browse these forums at work sometimes and I really don't appreciate having tits all over my screen unexpectedly. Turn that **** off.

I agree with this. If you have to have adds, at least pick something more suitable for people at work.

You're lucky - I have Michele Bauchman, an Ipad3? and a Ferrari on mine (the enzo, really poor choice).

But yes, the ads are very annoying.

I don't like blocking ads from trustworthy sites. But when they are intrusive like these ones in threadview (don't mind the one at the bottom of the forumview or the index) I'm left with little choice.

A lot of forums only show such horrible ads to guests, thus providing an incentive to register and not punishing the forum contributors, yet maintain a revenue source. A shame that this is not the case here.

These adds are ****ing terrible. I mean really? They're the most innane drivel you could possibly find on the internet and this is what you choose to advertise for on a cycling forum?
I can't possibly imagine you get any click-throughs on these things, so all you're achieving is just ****ing people off.

But hell, now I just went and blocked everything out of spite.

I still try to block the rest but getting rid of the pics helps.

This looks like the source
http://widgets.outbrain.com/outbrainWidget.js
At the bottom of the page the ads had no relevance. In the middle of the thread makes for unhappy campers

Installed AdBlock for Chrome especially to get rid of this sh!t.
Works perfectly.

Just add:
forum.cyclingnews.com##DIV[class="outbrain_box"]
to your manual filters.

Gone.

Meanwhile I also removed all the other adds. Will uninstall when those horrible adds are removed.

NoScript also removed all the ads. pity, I did look and click occasionally. If they put those ads back on the bottom I too will unblock skimresources

I would like to thank cyclingnews for adding those ads. It makes every thread look like the BoB thread (minus the bike mostly, so really more like a B thread, where B stands for babes (or boobs it seems)). Again thank you very much. I assume Susan is behind this?
