I think the adverts are not so bad... well some of them, I have clicked a few :S but to have them in the middle of thread looks terrible and is very annoying, strange choice of links too :S

Members can't put off topic comments in the middle of threads, so why put off topic ads? Ban them.

That's the beauty of it. Scantily clad chicks (with or without bike) will NEVER be off topic anymore, regardless which forum or thread.

Installed AdBlock for Chrome especially to get rid of this sh!t.
Works perfectly.

Just add:
forum.cyclingnews.com##DIV[class="outbrain_box"]
to your manual filters.

Gone.

Thanks, worked a treat.

Totally irritated at this today! glad to find the thread and compatriot outrage. I really dont care to look at Kim K and all the other cra**y stuff in the middle of the forum posts..(or anywhere actually)

I clicked on the little box and found the mssg from outbrain, considered sending an email but afraid I might end up with something worse from visiting that site...

Will try the chrome thingie..thanx boomcie.

can't CN just refuse to deal with some of this ad stuff??

Ok now I'm really pi$$ed off. I don't get titty ads. I get all kinds of other crap but no tits. I really, really hate this. Equal opportunity, please. Give me the titty ads or drop this stupid feature altogether!

The funny part is those images are based on what one's internet history is. So if you are seeing major babes and plenty of skin they're catering to you ;)

If you think its an error think again or check your history someone in your house is visiting sites you might not of thought you were visiting :D

I dont know with what other adverts these are grouped with, but these 4 from 5 "under titles" have nothing to do with what i normally visit. The only one that has an assisatance is the amazon from the online retailer... Stupid mass marketing grouping.

I have got my own. Don't need or want to see others, at least not in this context.

On the other hand, I have got my own pair and I'd rather not have 'men's mag ****' in my face when I come to CN.

So the only people who like the ads are the forum misogynists. Good to know!

Others have said already, but get Chrome and get AdBlock and you can remove all trace of advertisement from CN (well, except for the paid product review coverage, but you weren't reading that anyway).

TFF, Scott and friends simply expressed their admiration for female body parts. Aren't misogynists supposed to hate women?
