This is a very weird question.

Since the post that re-started this whole conversation was indeed a rather interesting question, would it be possible for a mod to essentially "hijack" posts like that?
Basically kick out the bot, while keeping the content.

Deleting the opening post of a thread would delete the whole thread. But a bit could be blocked while leaving one (or all, or somewhere in between)of its posts visible.

That's insulting to everyone who's ever posted a GT route in the Race Design Thread!

There's however a big difference between designing a route and actually making it happen in real life.

In the short term, AI-designed routes might be a significant improvement if the AI has been trained on 80s-90s data

No

They would accidentally scrape some Race Design Thread data or Red Rick patented whining and accidentally make a good race on occasion

As long as it doesn't think this is what the Tour de France is supposed to look like:

And AI might simply take frequently used starting location and combine it with frequently used finish locations, with no regard for minor issues like... geography.

Don't delete the opening post, just delete the bot. Everything would stay as is, right?
