Both he and his sister have had their UCI names changed ahead of this season, but I don't know why. It doesn't seem like they've started using those names anywhere else.

not the name itself, but someone must have registered him with a different name for 2024. No idea how exactly it works.

And sure, in a perfect world the broadcaster (or timing service) wouldn't just use the UCI database but double check the names.

not sure. When there was some talk about it a couple of years ago, Inner Ring reported that Pierre Latour got his 2nd name "Roger" because someone messed up a result sheet.
