Kreuziger should attack early in the climb to make Aru and Porte to chase him and tow Contador to the line.....i doubt Aru will be isolated Kangert,Tiralongo and Cataldo look very strong and i am sure Astana will send someone in the breakaway to help Aru later
Yep. Yesterday I thought that sending Kreuziger out was a dumb move, but it turned out to be a great move. Kreuziger has a fast finish. So even if they caught him in the last K, he could still win the sprint.

That wasn't a great move, contador got extremely lucky astana went full ***.

Lucky? It would be hilarious stupid if they let a dangerous bloke like Kreutziger running away with it. They took it tranquilo at first but when the moment Tinkoff started to race their own it provoced a reaction looking as if a riot had occured and Roman raced his own captain. At that point Astana couldnt take it easy any longer.

It was a brilliant move if a strategy it was.

No it wasn't, not for Contador. Besides there's CAS in juin so you can't play with kreuziger, it's way too risky.

And Contador only wants to win himself, it's all for him.

You're clueless if you don't understand that.

Do you think Uran would've lost 42 seconds if Kreuziger hadn't been in the break?

I guess you missed the part where i said "contador being extremely lucky astana went full ***."

Unless you're gonna tell me tinkoff knew astana was gonna do that to that extent? Then you're a genius.

And uran was never a threat imo anyways.

Is Uran any danger to Contador though?
As much as any other. You could say that Aru is the second strongest, but Alberto will be ahead of him after the itt and will thus have the luxury of not having to drop him. Weaker as Uran may be, if he was going to have 1-2 minutes after the itt on Contador, he (AC) would be forced to make a play. Now he is a minute ahead of Uran and could very well be equal or close after the itt, so he doesn't have to force things.

Seems to me TS should try to get Aru in pink…burn off some of that train before week 3, and less troublesome in the ITT than Porte. Unless something has changed in Aru there too. They need to get Sky and Astana to focus on one another a bit more…feels like TS is in the gunsights of both.

He trained on his time trial bike a lot. Don't be surprised if he is a TT specialist now.

And next year he can give battle with Cav and Kittel:cool:
Of course, he can improve his TT...but calling him as a specialist in an absurd

Today we see just what kind of form Alberto is carrying as they should be testing each other! I just don't want him to take pink to soon!

I think he won't. But people say he might as well take it to establish hierarchy in the race. If estaban can hang on, he could keep the jersey. On the flip side, having Orica keeping the jersey sucks so far, because they can't control the breakaway with so many climbs. I would prefer some other team with climbers, so they will most likely to work upfront to make sure climber breakaway will be caught.

Contador gets bored too easily

As i said astana tried to screw him over by giving him the pink so contador was like "i'll test this italian kid"

After the race, Contador "Oh ***, i got the pink..."
