I believe no rider should be excused from wrongdoing just because they provide exciting racing. But I don't believe Contador intentionally doped and I don't think it gave him that much benefit on tourmalet anyways.

We're getting into clinic stuff there though, so that's all I'll say on Contador's situation.

Probably part of the reason he responded has to do with their teams going after the same licence. After all, the two teams are engaged in a anti-doping battle to get that licence.
