Zing! You should take your act on the road :D

I guess I have just under 2 weeks before pitchers and catchers report!!

@Publicus; I'm a Contador fan but if you can't be flippant and laugh about the current situation, you'd end up mad.

It would seems that it can change from pink to yellowish colour http://forums.steroid.com/showthrea...ing-from-pink-to-yellowish-color#.TzGTjcX9OEk

man thinks 'cause he rules the earth he can do with it as he please
and if things don't change soon, he will
Oh, man has invented his doom
First step was touching the moon.

now, they take him and they teach him and they groom him for life
and they set him on a path where he's bound to get ill
then they bury him with stars
sell his body like they do used cars.

now, he's hell-bent for destruction, he's afraid and confused
and his brain has been mismanaged with great skill
all he believe are his eyes
and his eyes, they just tell him lies
ya may be a noisemaker, spirit maker
heartbreaker, backbreaker
leave no stone unturned
may be an actor in a plot
that might be all that you got
til your error you clearly learn.

now he worships at an altar of a stagnant pool
and when he sees his reflection, he's fulfilled
oh, man is opposed to fair play
he wants it all and he wants it his way.

Or we could try singing the above song sung by dylan with a fangirl dancing to it..money might be quite good :D.

Dylan would give it royalty free too....:D

I'm right there with you. I'm counting the days until he returns with a vengance.

yes I know the steak was eaten, it´s hard to proof anything that is not there.
And I´m not taking stand to whatever I think hes a doper or not, I only look at the evidence presented, and fact is, it´s not been proven.
That Contador have the burden of proof still don´t change the fact that neither UCI or WADA could proof how the clen entered hes body, so in legal terms we still don´t know.
What I personal think is extraneous.

The fact of the matter is that the CAS found there was proof that Clenbuterol was in Contador's system. Under the regulations, Clenbuterol is a 'strict liability' substance, if it is found in the system, it is a determination of guilt. It is then up to the rider to prove that the substance was not injested on purpose. Contador failed to prove this, and even if the CAS goes with the idea that it was most likely a case of a tainted supplement, that was not proven to be the case, and therefore Contador is guilty. How the substance got into the body is irrelevant except to the extent it can be shown to be an accident.

Who is this?

He was sat next to Bjarne for the conference.

Contador are saying that:

"If there's anything I can do to prove my innocence I'll do it."

Why didn't you provide a hair sample when that was up for discussion, would be my question? As far as I know, no hair test was taken despite the fact that a hair test could determine if the clen had been used long term.

Seems kind of weird if he was innocent.

It does, doesn't it?

I thought this had been discussed ad nauseum in this forum. (...).

It has been, indeed. But the point remains perfectly valid. It's something he could have done additionally. That means: it may not have benefitted him, but it sure wouldn't have hurt him (of course, provided he's innocent). So to answer AC's own question ("what else could I have done to prove my innocense?"), well, the friggin hairtest. But too late now.

Lol, my thoughts exactly.

About the hair test: it's not that it would benefit him or hurt him, the idea is that it'd have been irrelevant, because all it could do was show that no clen had been in his body before his positive, but there are already plenty of previous tests to establish that fact. Unless clen was something you can actually mask, but everyone has always said it's easy to detect.

A hair test would have been just posturing. I'm sure you'd have been all over him for trying to manipulate the impressionable Panel like that.

I am still thinking of a hair test from the people who ate the meat but weren't tested. Riders and staff.

Maybe I am wrong here, but I haven't had an answer when I originally proposed this.

Robles has taken such an extreme stance because, he says, watching Contador race helped him through a difficult stage in his life. “He brought me out of the depression I was suffering with, I could only get over it when I used to watch him racing in the afternoons on the TV. I was very ill, but in my house they knew that each afternoon they had to put me in front of the television and let me watch Contador, and that that helped me to move forwards,” he said.

 Sounds rather like the fanboys of another high-profile rider. "He can't be guilty because (without actually doing anything) he helped me ..."

Someone should introduce him to the concept of DVDs.

Would trace amounts from just one incident show up and be detectable in the hair samples? I thought that test was used to show continued use of a substance.

But I don't really understand much about hair testing. I've always been puzzled by the fact that the French police found EPO in the hair of Festina riders in 1998, years before the UCI had an EPO test. Makes you wonder why they don't use hair testing as standard procedure.

On the other hand, the loss of weight should help him become a better climber.

I watched the press conference yesterday on Eurosport and this coupled with the reaction from Spain along with comments by certain prominent figures in cycling suggest that the pro-doping culture in cycling is still deeply entrenched. I therefore take my hat off to the CAS for dealing with the case based on the facts rather than the over emotional, irrational & denial based spin rolled out by the Contador camp.

Yes the case took to long and yes the amount of C.B was not enough to give a performance enhancement but the meat and supplement theories would indicate a lot more Elite Athletes falling foul in the same way as Contador (which they havent). This is a point that no one (least of all the Spanish journalists at the press conference) have pressed Contador or Bjarne Riis on.
