Yes, I agree, I would keep most of the team's climbers in to support Koenig.

See, that's what they didn't have at the tour last year, a decent plan B. This Giro has been a disaster for them, but actually not bad in the grand scheme of things.

Kiry very very did good today as I excepted. Now it's about a stage win for Nieve, a top 10 (or even top 5) for König, Red jersey and winning the final stage for Viviani.

Yes, I agree, I would keep most of the team's climbers in to support Koenig.

naaah..top 10 top 7, what does that matter for sky? Sky has been saving their form for the 3rd week specifically. They are going to record win on all mountain top finish starting tomorrow!! That's more epic than top 10 placing.. yawn.

Porte will most likely quit the Giro and prepare for the Tour. And that makes good sense.

I don't think it's just the knees, when you lose a lot of time in crashes, you will automatically become demoralized. After a long season, I'm not sure if he will be the final man for Froome. Maybe that's the job of Poels.

At least 2 stage victories, they could win even more.

Couple of sprints left and Kiry, Suitsou, Eisel and Puccio isn't a bad lead out for Viviani. With the withdrawals he has a good chance to win both and Sky would then get out of the Giro with the Maglia Rosso.

I guess the report was written before the time trial or maybe I dreamed Kiryenka's win. Lennie King's 6th place was not too bad either, although the team would have been definitely hoping for more.
