To be fair to BMC, they had a good race today. If Cadel can ride that well for the rest of the week, and not waste his energy working for Kroon, he should be in the mix for a podium spot or even a win.

Post race intvw with Pippo Gibo "Felt really strong today; recovering in the descent; waited till 350m and then gave it all; all very good for him; when he started the sprint, he saw a gap 10m and knew it was enough; first victory for team very important; he is from the 'region' 50km from his residency, so he feels a little at home"

with the work and attacks he put in for kroon, he still did well. looks very dangerous for fleche and liege.

Gesink didn't have it today, seemed to improve towards the end though. Did most of the chasing in that larger group for friere. But that being said I didn't think he would do well here, AGR isn't really his kinda race imo.

I still think he will do well at F-W.

Gilbert worked hard to stay in the front and still killed everyone in the sprint. My new favourite for Liege.

Well done old man De Waele. Some great performances these past seasons, and this year he finally does it in a big classic

look through thread and i said the same thing. had little form. top 10 i think though.

I'm not saying you're wrong.... Just the team tactics that placed Kroon on top of the pecking order

Gilbert's ability to attack frequently and recover quickly really shone through today, and he used it to his advantage.

Agreed. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him pick up a win at either. I've always enjoyed watching Cadel in one-day races more than GTs as he rides so much more agressively.
