Cosnefroy clearly the best drinker of the podium trio
Sorry, he really said this. That's not how that came out at all. Just being straitforward. So much better than false humility.
The real winner today.Cosnefroy clearly the best drinker of the podium trio![]()
Yes, minor advantages...some minor advantages.

A true Belgian wouldn't touch that Dutch pisswasser either!Remco has to turn in his Belgian card. Ridiculous display.
You would be right if it weren't for the fact that others are called arrogant. There's a constant double standard applied to Remco, more lenient. That's not how that came out at all. Just being straitforward. So much better than false humility.
Wait...what? Road cyclists were whining about something?Fuglsang, Mollema, Del Grosso and several riders last week already said that motorcycles give big or decisive advantages.
I stand corrected!A true Belgian wouldn't touch that Dutch pisswasser either!
Totally. No one has ever over-indexed on calling Remco arrogant. You're right, but others are called arrogant. There's a constant double standard applied to Remco, who's much more lenient.
The interviewer asked him to rate this victory and he says I'm one of the one's lucky enough to win a lot, which of course makes it hard to place where this win fits with the others.Sorry, he really said this.
he's literally the guy with the most wins this year..."I'm one of the guys that wins a lot" - Evenepoel quote. If his legs were as greats as his mouth, this guy would have a better palmares than Merckx.
The guy won 74 times, among which monuments, world titles, olympic races and GT stages. What was he supposed to say?You would be right if it weren't for the fact that others are called arrogant. There's a constant double standard applied to Remco, more lenient.
Recalling the women's podium, not even the Dutch have a high appreciation for it.A true Belgian wouldn't touch that Dutch pisswasser either!
The reduction in air resistance at 1m from 1 motorcycle is 1,8%.At 1 m, the advantage, as you pointed out, is a reduction in air resistance of 1.8%. Motorcycles are never 1 m behind riders, and as the relationship is exponential, the reduced drag from having cars or motorcycles behind you in a race is actually negligible.
You suggest you take a scientific stance, but you actually do not. (I am a scientist, by the way)
Perhaps, I'm not trying to factor any comparisons in.You would be right if it weren't for the fact that others are called arrogant. There's a constant double standard applied to Remco, more lenient.
It was unnecessary IMO.You do seem sorry about it. The interviewer asked him to rate this victory and he says I'm one of the one's lucky enough to win a lot, which of course makes it hard to place where this win fits with the others.
Yeah, I thought he was just being factual in that many riders never win a race, and many riders will actually say that winning a race is very difficult. So he's not wrong, and I didn't detect any kind of arrogance to it. It's actually the opposite because he considers himself lucky to have won so much. That's not how that came out at all. Just being straitforward. So much better than false humility.
As it turns, this isn't a peer-reviewed academic journal, so we're good(BTW, I think a true scientist wouldn't make a stance without reviewing the studies first.)
Delicate balance, if you start playing games and trying to dice each other up it gives the chase a chance, after Remco toasted the 3rd rider off his wheel, the chase was right there , instead of going conservative , the two worked together, as if practiced teammates, opened up a workable gap, then they started games momentarily.. You could see that Remco had better cadence, quiet upper body, face looked good, didn't have wide open mouth, no crazy breathing, totally relaxed, sitting down for almost last @7 kilometers, guy was on a mission. He had to see that Skjelmose was laboring, standing up to stay with pace, pushing way bigger gear, body was bouncing all over, he just looked @20% more worked over than oven fresh Remco .The Belgian had a danish for lunch,Today it's dignity; in other races, the rider who takis turns is insulted. Curious.
no he did not. He said that he was fortunate to win quite a lot.Sorry, he really said this.
You make an inane comment about motorbikes 1 m behind riders to make a point, while the distance is always (much) bigger. The fact that there are vehicles behind riders now and then is negligible, especially compared to other factors affecting air resistance. Of these other factors, motorcycles ahead of the riders are oftentimes not negligible, obviously. The reduction in air resistance at 1m from 1 motorcycle is 1,8%.
The reduction in air resistance from several motorcycles or cars is much bigger, even at 10m (till 9%).
I just saw several motors close behind the cyclists.
That's also why teamcars suddenly started to put 9 or 10 bikes on the team cars in ITT's.
(BTW, I think a true scientist wouldn't make a stance without reviewing the studies first.)
I don't really get what the issue is. When someone like Pogacar says 'everyone was looking at me to pull/attack', we all know why and what is unsaid (he wins a lot). He's saying the same thing just without the explicit words.Sorry, he really said this.
Too many arrogant quotes from him. Hard to have a different view when he talks like this quite often.I don't really get what the issue is. When someone like Pogacar says 'everyone was looking at me to pull/attack', we all know why and what is unsaid (he wins a lot). He's saying the same thing just without the explicit words.
