This is definitely wrong!

JØRGENSEN Adam Holm HBJ

According to PCS it's Matteo Jorgenson in that position, which seems entirely more possible!

So, we went from getting M. Jorgenson confused with M. Jørgensen (when they were teammates) to getting M. Jorgsenson confused with A. Jørgsensen, despite the fact that they're not even teammates, and Adam definitely wasn't riding AGR!

Jorgsenson/Jørgsensen is as bad as Primrose Roglic.

"I didn't have the super legs to close everything down," he admitted afterwards. "Because then you'll fall short on climbs like the Keutenberg. You have to take some risks."

"This is a different kind of race than in the past weeks, with a different type of riders. We did very well as a team, but on this course, you have to gamble."

"Was it a conscious choice to ride more defensively? Yes, but I also didn't have the legs to ride very offensively. That can be punished in this race." "At the end, I was hoping we would catch up with the group, but I think the strongest riders were simply at the front."

"I have the luxury to take risks, because my spring season has already been more than successful," Van der Poel didn't take it to heart. "I would have liked to be in the final, but I didn't really have the legs."

"I'm realistic enough to know that you can't win everything. Next week will probably be even tougher, but we're going to give it one more go."

"After that, I can rest. I'm off to Spain now to enjoy some good weather and put the final touches on things."

Gold Race was just like Amstel Pils: Light in pleasure! :D

No, seriously. As long as last year's special edition isn't the reference, 2024 was a fine race. Last 35 kilometers have been exciting

The strongest rider in the race won. Pidcock fully deserved this. Closed the gap to the front first. Then, he was a bit behind on Keutenberg but still followed Benoot quite easily. Worked a lot. Attacked himself strongly. Fastest in the sprint.

Good performance by Hirschi who forced the selection. But was a bit too weak in the sprint as well as on the hills to take the win.

Benoot looked good, but simply has zero sprint. His late entree to the season helped him here, because his shape was just increasing from Flanders on.

Nothing memorable overall. Nice cycling Sunday despite IMHO!
