Hmm. I'm thinking the good doctor is a silent member of the Andy club:cool:

No, not really. I certainly have nothing against the guy, but I like most of the Pro's and appreciate what they do.

I do like Andys (current) attitude though. Its always the fascinating part for me - how the riders do when things are not well. That always reveals their character.

He dug a hole for himself last year - but since the start of this year he has knuckled down and is doing the work in public. He just needs to keep doing what he doing and suddenly he will start feeling 'it' again.

Could be, but I'm thinking there's a luxembourg kid that could give him a run for his money. I hear he's lying in wait so he can come into the race as an underdog. No one will see his attack coming until it's too late. :D

I would love to see Kash, Andy, Cobo and Rujano all fighting for the win in the Tour.:D

Another race, another abandon. Apparently Andy was caught up in a crash, but has anyone heard whether or not he was hurt? Or did he just decide to quit at that point?

On Lux TV they said not really hurt, but not able to get to the peloton so he left the race

Shouldn't have decided to leave the race.

This is a guy who is trying to find his form. Finishing the race seems like the right move, even if he had no chance of making it back.

I know he has dismissed the idea of being competitive at this year's TdF, but come on...

"The crash happened at the worst possible moment," said Andy Schleck. "The race was so slow in its final stage, and it was impossible for me, once the connection to the peloton produce. I collapsed on the right side of the body. Hurt my ribs a bit, but this should not be a problem. I have some skin in the road left, but I still came away with a black eye. Until the mechanic on the spot and it was addressed to my bicycle to the top of the hole was just too big. For the Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège I remain confident. I actually felt pretty good until the fall. could this mishap will not affect me and it does nothing to further my plan. "

Sounds like he was a bit banged up, then. I have more sympathy, in that case. I hope to see more from him in the days to come. I miss the old Andy.

I also read somewhere that it was the same crash where Thomas Voeckler broke his collarbone and that Gilbert was in it too, so it seems to me like he was well placed at that point at least. I also think that the crash occurred 17 km before he quit the race so it doesn't seem like he gave up right away

Andy showed improvement today... Rode in the bunch till the penultimate climb, took some tv time, finished the race in a relaxed manner:cool:, and still no comment in his thread?!
I'm surprised.

He seemed very relaxed.
Didn't had the legs for Huy so just stayed back and enjoyed the climb and chatted with the lads.

Andy is back and in LBL maybe we will see him finishing in the bunch.

I'll be free to say that in relative terms (considering all circumstances since the beginning of the season) he looked better than Contador.

It's all about July. LBL, Dauphine, Tour De Suisse, are all just wee teases to fook up Sky before the big event;)
Hehe...
Would be phenomenal turnout.
Composition of the drama worries me, though.
