Good shedule. I dont think it's heavier than the previous ones.

No iberian races in febuary, but Oman to get some days early. No Cali, but Romandie for Andy. Only logical, since the form should be there after the classics. ToL should help to be more competitive at TdS which could be important to get some results/confidence before the Tour.

Abandony always does a 'heavy' schedule on paper.

In reality with all the time riding in the gruppetto or quitting, he's only really riding a couple of weeks.

So a better question would be: how many races will Abandony complete this year? Half of them?

As for winning :eek::

Seems like a good idea to drop California and do Tour of Luxembourg instead. The most interesting addition is Tour of Romandie, it starts just 2 days after LBL, so Andy could be in a pretty good shape. The last time he did this race was in 2007 and he came in 8th on GC IINM. Though I have not seen the parcours (don't think it's been revealed yet)

Lol good question.

Hopefully Andy can perform a little better with Frankie near.
His best Tour to date had Fränk crashing out in the first week, so I don't think so.

That's not AKs ;) (at least not how I see it)

There appears to be an Anna Kournikova folded to Andy's right, it must have been folded pre flo, like Fermi pointed out, as there appear to be 1 or 2 kings on the flop.

Yeah I saw that (Duh), but it's not AKs ;)

*Unless I'm mistaken and it's not the king of diamonds together with the ace of spades.

AKs =/= AK

AKs = Ace and King suited.

From what I can see on the picture, it's two different suits, ergo not suited.

Looking at the team presentation pics you can say a lot about Andy, but not that he doesn't watch his diet. 0.o Abs showing through the jersey in january?

true but let's not forget that both schlecks are naturally very thin and not predisposed to gain weight. at least that's how i imagine them

andy looks very thin for this time of the year though

I'm pretty sure Andy is very serious this year, the most serious ever, i believe. He's not dumb, nor is he blind. He knows what people and TREK are expecting from him this year. He is in a different situation on the new team compared to Leopard times and his influence has reduced. Obviously TREK is in charge now and they will not allow anyone to take things easy. Also the shedule of Andy will change to some extend at the request of TREK.

The legend is coming :D

He does look very happy in that video and cracking jokes almost like old times. Makes me hopeful as well.

He shared a funny story from his first team camp as a neo pro with Saxo Bank in Denmark. Apparently they had a party in a pool and the neo pros had to take 25 shots in 5 minutes, that was their baptize. "... and now they wear bunny suits". Oh the good old days.... :D
