anyone knows what the medical examination of Andy has delivered?

Still no reports. Hopefully, it's allright; I wouldn't be surprised to read about an injury no matter how it actually is though.

I think it is not unlikely that Andy will stand up to be a positive surprise in TdF this year, despite lacking results earlier in the season. And so could Frank. But still Cadel and Wiggins by far have the edge before the race is on.

Frank showed himself yesterday. At least one could imagine a reasonable scenario where he was on form in the latter weeks of the TdF. Should Andy come on form, well....

I knew you would fall for the trap called facts. It's always simple with guys like you :D

Stage 16 where Andy lost the TdF on the descent... he actually was dropped by Contador and Evans on the ascent.

What do you know... Andy losses time going uphill twice...

Want me to remind you how the brothers managed to gain absolutely nothing except suffering in the stage to Alpe d'Huez? I assume you had enough now....

LMAO.... facts are always a killer. Goodbye, nice of you to show that you don't watch cycling but just watch your heroes.
And in 2010 Andy climbed about as well as Contador and dropped Evans like a rock on nearly every single mountain stage. What's your point?

Seriously, now. Evans did the Giro that year.

...and Evans had a hairline fracture in his elbow from a crash on the first mountain stage. So it's not fair to include Evans in this comparison.

uh huh.

fact that Schleck did a montrous chunk of work on Izoard and in the valley? Evans did ride 8k alone and Andy didn't comfortably sit down behind Monfort's back and they changed each other at the front..

Andy's attack on the Izoard was awesome, but lets not kid ourselves. By Briancon he had Monfort who did well to pull him as far as he could.

I snapped this picture and remember thinking holy crap Andy looks like he is out for a Saturday coffee ride. Monfort - not so much!

So Andy rode half a time trial and part of a road stage with a broken pelvis? I know his attitude towards racing sucks a lot of the time, but that is insane. People with pelvic fractures don't usually move.

Leads us back to the Theo Bos's broken spine injury he rode with in the Giro. Obviously it not a comfortable injury but if they are riding with these kind of injuries they are not a as bad as you'd imagine them to be.

You are correct. I broke the spinous process of T10 in a crash years back and never missed a day. In fact never knew it was broken till months later.

Of course I also broke 4 ribs in that crash. Now that is painful and probably why I never felt the broken back

Samu may be a carrot, but he didn't pull his SchleckChute after his Dauphine crash. Is the difference in the extent of the injuries or in the mental fortitude?

Clearly, there was a difference in the extent of the injuries.

I'm still impressed with Samu's mental fortitude.

Cheers,

Andy Schleck talks altitude training, Wiggins and Hesjedal

http://velonews.competitor.com/2012...altitude-training-wiggins-and-hesjedal_224189

Race director Christian Prudhomme looked forward to seeing him again after officially awarding him the 2010 yellow winner’s jersey on May 29.

“Maybe I’ll sell it before the Tour and make some money on eBay!” Schleck said with a smile. Prudhomme awarded Schleck the 2012 version of the yellow jersey, with the manufacturer Le Coq Sportif’s logos instead of Nike’s. “It’s the one they’ll use this year. I got the first one!”

Very appropriate username.

Also, Andy, that guy is named Alberto, not "Contador"!

Flair says me Alberto will be left holding the bag. Andy will own the Vuelta at the expense of his climber magnificence or the edge to put it more prosaically. I'd prefer the Tour annihilation, but nothing can be done - under the circumstances Andy has to be satisfied with the Vuelta this year.

But my primary wish is a real climber clash with a shower of out mutual attacks as during the last 2 Tours Alberto only defended.

Ha ha! Sweet dreams. Since your dream for the tour has been crushed you need to develop another illusion to satisfy youself:D
