Andy only at 12 minutes today. That's only 6 minutes behind Mollema f.ex and 7 minutesi n front of T.Dekker.

Great, he's improving more rapidly that i thought

He's not quit yet. Honestly, I think that's more than most expected.

great news for andy's progress, he gained time on former race-leader mark cavendish.

still dropped by legendary grimpeur andre greipel however.

starting to think horner may be gc leader come july after all.

How dare you mock the great climber

Here's the proof of his climbing skills:
Mark+Cavendish+leads+the+peloton+on+the+climb+of+the+Mur+de+Peguere+during+stage+fourteen+of+the+2012+Tour+de+France

Since he left Sky, he's going to get dropped as soon as the graident kicks up to %3 though

I think Schleck is on the right path.
And I'm sure he disappointed lots of haters here.

After today, I am convinced more then ever we need Andy back in top form. I want to see an in-form Andy and Alberto going head to head again; not this ride in a train up the entire climb than attack in the last km's crap.
Andy looks like he is steadily progressing on the right track. :)

In these conditions i think it will be better for Andy to either skip the tour this year or ride it as preparations for Vuelta and then the worlds. He is waaaay behind with his condition compared with the likes of Froome, Contador. The problem i see here is that he's too focused with TDF. Plus he and Frank could make a good tandem at Vuelta and Worlds.

That stood out to me as well, I assumed before he was dropped because of his fitness level, so good to hear he is at a level where he could have hung in longer.
As has been stated before, now he just has to mentally heal, while continuing to improve his fitness. Today should be a good test for him to see how he handles the big mountains.

I don't get it. Are you guys joking around or are you serious?

And what the hell is Andy "healing" from anyway?

Sadly, it is impossible. :( RS will bring Andy's name to the Tour. I believe in top5 at least though

You are an optimist. I will reserve judgement on Andy until later in the season.

He's still had troubles with his lower back muscles, lack of power when climbing etc. That takes a lot of time, if you had a long time out injured.

Other factor are of course laziness and fear of riding in the peloton again, but that's all in the head. Physically he is nowhere near top shape.

But he should be able to at least finish this race.

Yup same here, I hate Andy but I hate Sky even more. Besides maybe Andy can help Alberto break the skyborg train, though of course there is the risk that Andy and Froome ride away from Alberto together

LOL, what deeply personal interests. Don't even dream. :p

On a serious note, there is the only in the world climber who could derail train with Alberto nowadays. And it is Froome.

You surely cannot hate Andy. To me he comes across as a genuine and funny guy in interviews. Who cares if he moans about travelling down mountains at 100km /h in the rain. It would concern me if it was my job.

Exactly, he seems to be a very liked guy among team mates aswell.
