To the bolded: yes.
But mostly I take issue with your blaming everyone else in the cycling world and your attempts to present Contador as a victim that has been wronged, and furthermore, to insult those who happen to be better informed than you.

I don't care if you love him or loathe him, but whatever your feelings towards him are they shouldn't be grounded on a fantasy world of lalala. See The Hitch? He has no illusions about what Contador has been up to.

Okay. He doped, still is doping. Just like everyone else. Happy now?

I'm wondering, what kind of rider do you think he would be in a clean peloton?

I imagine he'd most likely be one of the best. Certainly better than Andy, if that's what you want to hear.

I see loyalty as a good thing.

And yet all of us (me including) have found airstream's loyalty towards Wendy Shreck amusing at best

(just trying to steer this towards Andy again, before Bala Verde gets really mad) :D

No. I want to hear what you really think. I think he's doping much more than others and would be domestique at best.

As per the rules, Andy won the Tour. Simple as that. You could argue about the 2011 Giro, but the 2010 Tour is not and cannot be an issue. It's crystal clear.

Hrotha speaks the truth. I don't like the Giro (or the stripping of his top 5 at the 2011 TdF), but those are the breaks.

That's actually what I think. Andy would most likely be much worse in this hypothetical scenario which is completely not about doping, wink wink. Contador is probably one of the biggest talents of the decade, although you can never know 100% sure.

(And Bala Verde, this is still about appreciating Andy because damn, think of how praiseworthy Andy is! He can compete against Contador despite being probably a lesser talent! I appreciate that)

Could the discussion maybe be moved into some Contador thread?

Also, talking about results being stripped, isn't neccesarily doping talk. I mean, its close , but in the past its been given more leeway here than the discussions about the actual doping.

Exactly, you can never be sure. I think Andy is really talented, maybe even more than Alberto. He just doesn't show it.

Who would do better in the ardennes classics if it is their (andy and alberto) only aim for the season?

Ok. As long as we continue to appreciate here, it's all good.

I totally agree and that's not what I am trying to moderate.

This is what I would like to eliminate:

Okay. He doped, still is doping. Just like everyone else. Happy now?

I'm wondering, what kind of rider do you think he would be in a clean peloton?
