Thats why the one time Andy peaked for Liege he rode to Gilbert and past him in a way not seen again until Iglynski did it to Nibali 5 days ago.

gooner said:You say that but I would like Contador really go all out once again for Fleche-Wallonne. He came 3rd already and it looked like he misjudged and underestimated the Mur and thats why Evans caught him just at the end. Last year he rode with an illness so he was never in top form there.
I think he will win this before his career finishes.
gooner said:Look when his ban is over, we move on and lets talk about his cycling and hopefully he can entertain us. I dont want to be talking about doping forever with cyclists you know, otherwise I would crack up.
Anyway it doesnt mean I want him to win. I just want to see a good spectacle of racing at all times.
Also his punch uphill was alright to me in last years Giro. And as well even though he was tired and jaded after that Giro he did come a close 2nd to Evans at the Mur de Bretagne in last year`s Tour. That was more of a stage for the puncheurs.

I don't want the riders I hate to win at all costs. That says something about me, I guess. Or about you, I don't know.
LaFlorecita said:I don't. I don't know if you've noticed but Alberto seems to have lost a bit of his punch uphill. .
Publicus said:. Same goes with Andy, despite what folks say about Andy, at the end of the day, they recognize him for the talent that he is.
Carols said:This!!! He is very talented, it is that he does so little with that talent that disturbs me......![]()
ferryman said:Chill La Fl it's Fiday nightAlso, hard to believe but it's May next week and the start of the Giro. If the next few months go as fast as the last few it will be August before you know it and Bertie will be strutting his stuff at the Vuelta
Unfortunately for you, by then Andy wil have won his second Tour![]()
LaFlorecita said:I don't care about the vuelta. I don't care about anything cycling related anymore. Andy will win the 2012, 2013,2014, 2015 and 2016 edition of the tour. He will win six tours. It's wrong that this is able to happen.
Angliru said:You could always jump on the Andy Love Train and root for him. Recognize his overt sexiness, his manly chest, bulging biceps and swoon under the weight of goofy charm and charisma. Then you'd have 5 years of bliss.![]()
gooner said:What I just said was when his ban is up we should move on. If you remember I praised his performances in San Luis earlier this year and the way he approaches every race with a winning mentality. Its not as if I can dismiss his qualities as a rider.
Look at Scarponi and Basso next week in the Giro. I will enjoy the riding and the show that they will put on but it doesnt mean I like their past offences. I will still criticise them in the clinic. The same applies with Contador.
I cant say I am a huge fan of any rider. I just love cycling for the spectacle it can be.
LaFlorecita said:Andy. He has much better results in the ardennes classics.
Vino attacks everyone said:I would disagree, but it looks like he is using a much heavier gear when he is attacking these days (look at his 07 tour vs giro 11)

LaFlorecita said:Miss your buddy?
airstream said:sorry, lots of work. no time to post. but i promise to comeback. as i see, with frank in the giro, the tour intrigue is totally destroyed..everyone could quietly surrender to andy just before the start. it would lighten their tortures.the thread wont go bad no need to worry
