So Contador can make excuses but Andy can not?

Or is this a case of the boy who cried wolf?

Oh yes, he made excuses. Not.

He once said that he hurt his knee because of a crash. After that we saw him limping up the climbs, so WE made the assumption his knee hurt.

Riis told the press that Alberto bonked on Galibier.

Matteo Tosatto told the press that Alberto might quit somewhere in the second week. Alberto was quick to deny that.

After the Tour, Matteo Tosatto again told the press that the team had been seriously considering sending Alberto home. Because not only his knee hurt really badly, he had also hurt his back and his head in one of the crashes (the one where his brake did weird and he ended up flying through the air.)

O/T again, but can't resist.

Yeah, there was nothing wrong with his knee...

This.

I probably worded myself wrong, yes, it looks like he hurt his knee and no, his knee wasn't ****ed or whatever.

He also wasn't hindered by his knee on stages 16, 17, 19 and 20. I can't recall a quote from him or his boss that his knee would be a problem on stage 18.

Losing 90 seconds in under 3 km and then being alright the next day is consistent with a bonk.

Yeah the knee story is bunkum, of course. I can show you a picture which clearly shows that it is not bunkum.

The knee excuse for Galibier is bunkum. Better?

WE?

How is it fair that you can come up with excuses for Contador when he fails but no one is allowed to defend Schleck when he fails?

You probably didn't see his face when he attacked.

Yeah. And what about the painkiller he got from the medics?

Yes, WE, as in the forum members in general.

Because, maybe, Andy always comes up with excuses himself?

*cough* "Andy" Schleck discussion thread..

We are discussing Andy's Galibier attack, his changes for La Vuelta and his excuse-making. Seems like we're pretty much discussing Andy right?

Relax with that fake knee. That was just another cheap Contador's excuse in style of an allegedly broken spoke on Fedaia in 2008. It's the man whose words should be divided on many parts so that anything could sound more plausible.

Do you consider an acupuncture to be an irrefutable proof? Just physiotherapy procedure.

You weren't even discussing his knee. You were, again, spreading your hatred all over the forum.

Contador didn't crack on the Galibier. He bonked.

The whole knee story is bunkum. Contador was riding well the 2 previous days and the 2 next days. Of course, when he failed out come the excuses.

Only the "excuse" came before the "fail". Funny how the one time he claimed.to be injured in a gt was the time he failed.

Even cadel said before the pyranees that he saw contador with a limp.

All probably a conspiracy though right?

No telling who was involved. Contador evans the tdf doctor
mcquaid and the uci almost certainly but i hear it might have gone as high as sarkozy

Ok then, Andy's solo breakaway gained more time then Contador did with all his attacks. Either way it was far more effective then Contadors attacks.

If Andy's breakaway/attack did not crack Contador then it sure made it more difficult for him. Without Andy's solo effort off the front Contador probably, even if his knee was bad, wouldn't have lost as much time either.

But had it been a direct attack instead of a sneak attack, would Andy have been able to drop the competitors? To my memory, Evans climbed the last mountain faster than Andy.
And the following day where Andy could have closed the race, he wasn't able to punch holes as Evans had been alerted.

Sure it doesn't answer the Andy vs. Contador question, for that we'd have to ask if Contador would need a sneak attack to throw Evans.

No I wasn't laughing about the blog. I was laughing about your assumption that I might become Andy fangirl.
