Unfortunately all you have is a paper victory. Rewatching the actual race footage must be like a nightmare for you. Hopefully ,if you can work on your film editing skills, you can create your own 2010 TdF with:
- Andy not having a terrible prologue
- Andy not slipping his chain
- Andy not having anger in his little belly
- Andy on the podium top step in yellow
Modern technology can make any fantasy a reality.

Andy didn't need a good prologue cos he smashed everybody on the Madeleine and Tourmalet. Slipping chain was a little dole to Sanchez and Menchov that they could win back something.
If being jackals to the last, let's accuse Armstrong of being unable to avoid musette or something.

Actually regarding the Armstrong musette, he was riding too close to the fans considering the width of the road on Luz Ardiden. No fault but his own for his crash in that incident as was Andy's chain incident. Your blinders just won't let you see it as such.
By the way excuse me if I misinterpret what your post(s) intent may actually be. I can't always understand exactly what you are trying to convey. Sometimes it's clear as day and other times it's not.
Coming temporarily out of lurker-land for a few moments again. After reading the article in question, a few things popped out for me. I'll list them below.
As a disclaimer, I will add that I don't particularly like Andy, but flaying him over this one, I think, is not deserved.
1) This is an article written in a Danish paper, with Danes as the intended target. Most casual Danish cycling fans are predisposed to dislike the Schlecks ('traitors' and all that) and will take every possible excuse to keep disliking them. Obviously, the paper knows that and panders to the prejudice.
2) The interview is not that recent. It was made the day after Andy was awarded the jersey, which means there's a good chance emotions were still running high, plus he might've already been answering so many questions his brain-to-mouth filter had been worn down even more than usual.
3) Ekstra Bladet is not really a legit newspaper. It's a gossip rag. I'm sure I'm not the only Dane out there who was basically raised to take everything they have to say with several sacks of salt. This paper makes its living through sensationalist headlines, meant not to reflect the contents of the article, but to sell papers. Occassionally, they'll spin and twist things just to stir up a fight, which they can then cover, and sell more papers to Schleck-hating Danes.
4) The interview was likely (I'm guessing on this one, so it may not be true, but it seems likely) conducted in English, which wouldn't be a first language for either Andy or the interviewer. Andy's answers were then translated into Danish by people biased against him. Who knows what could've gone missing in the translation?
Hopefully I'm not the only one sensing a pattern here. Either way, the most obvious thing is that Andy was stupid to even speak with them in the first place. But then Andy is not exactly known for his PR-savvy. And the Schlecks, especially Andy, don't yet seem quite caught up on the fact that the Danish press isn't on their side anymore. Basically, if Andy were a bit smarter and more observant, this article wouldn't have existed in the first place. But since it does, I'll get on to what info it, and Andy - through his comments - actually has to tell us.
1) Andy is not a scientist and does not claim to know enough about those things to be able to tell whether or not Alberto was doped. Alberto is the only one who knows that. He cannot defend Alberto because he doesn't know enough of the particularls in the case. Nothing new under the sun here. For the last year and a half, Andy has gone back and forth between this statement and the 'I-believe-Alberto's-innocent' statement. It's not surprising that he changed his mind back. Again. Again.
2) Andy is not happy with the way he got the jersey, but he believes he should've won it legit in the first place. This is also nothing new. Andy is still unwilling or unable to accept responsibility for the mistake that cost him 39 seconds and, ultimately, the Tour. He still has a belly full of anger about chaingate, and is still unhappy with the court victory.
3) He was ****ed off in Paris and believed the jersey and trophy should've been his. Again, we already know this.
4) According to Andy himself, he still cares about Alberto. Huh? Actually, this might be news, especially given the number of times he has been saying they 'were never friends'. He even uses Alberto's first name, which he also - to my memory - doesn't do that often these days. So, strangely enough, the only new thing I learnt from this smear article is that apparently Andy still likes Alberto. All right. I can live with that.
5) Andy believes this is about the rules; he doesn't see it as justice. The race happened the way it did, even if he doesn't like it and doesn't really accept it. Getting the jersey now has nothing to do with karma or justice, but with the fact that Alberto was convicted and the Tour needs a winner. This is also pretty much in line with everything he's been saying so far, and not really all that surprising. And out of everything else that's been said in this interview, this might be what makes me respect him, at least a little, even in this stupid-**** should-never-have-happened interview.
So what I, personally, come away with when it's all pared down to the essentials and the sensationalism is taken away is that he's sticking to his story(/ies). Not the most intelligent answers, or the most intelligent interview, perhaps, but I don't really see anything inflamatory here, apart from the headline. And let's remember that Andy doesn't come up with Ekstra Bladet's headlines.
