Wrong account Wonderlance ;)

Funny to see Christian thinking he has now got some major firepower behind him coming out and making his stand (after pretending to just be a reasonable fair minded fan of the Schlecks without supporting their hatred of cycling and paranoia).

Sorry Chris its only a joke thread. Intended for a laugh.

Word of advice. The fact that lots of people believe something does not make them right.

You may now consider yourself schooled

Where do i argue that "lots of people believing something" makes them right.

im glad you remember my quotes but you dont seem to understand them. I would only be "schooled" had i argued that you ar e wrong because others disagree with you, which Ian the dumb logic airtream used that made me write that response. i never argued anything like that though.

Since schooled sounds not nice though, ill just write

Taught.:cool

Yes you did not argue that but you seemed certain that I was wrong when really all the "evidence" you have is comparing SilentAssassin and Wonderlance's styles. I'm telling you I've seen Shakespeare in Love at least a dozen times and I don't see any connection between their styles.

Furthermore as both SilentAssassin and myself pointet out Contador went against the last two true champions of cycling whenst he did the deed - it is only fair that he should now sleep (or rather ride!) no more and lose his crown to the one that to gain his place he sent to "peace" (stabbed in the back) - all hail the little boss.

Speaking of true champions, may I remind you in that context of the protest march from Bielefeld to Gütersloh sponsored by Alpecin I am organizing sometime next month, I hope you already blocked your calendar. Jan must be allowed to race the Jedermann Bielefeld otherwise it becomes a joke. Also could you ask your grandpa to go into hungerstrike? I'm still working on mine but not losing hope! Alpecin has promised to give you and your grandpa free shampoo. As the number two forumite we would be proud to have you!

Now they say Jan might not be allowed to ride the cyclosportive in Bielefeld this year. I say this is an outrage and without him there the race will be a joke. It is the Jedermann event of the year and this year's edition will forever be tainted. The winner will always have to hear "Yes, but if Jan had been there...". They are trying to take our heroes. What's next? I'm sure soon they'll say Michael Schumacher won't race anymore and Günther Grass was in the SS.

In order to protest this outrageous circumstance I am currently trying to get my grandpa to go into hungerstrike. If you are with me on this I strongly suggest you do the same. If you only have a grandma left, that's fine too. A protest march sponsored by Alpecin will be held from Bielefeld to Gütersloh some time next month so just go ahead and block your calendar. Bring your starving grandpa to voice your support!

When Contador had a flat tire has was in the 2nd group, not the first one which Andy finished in.

I think this thread might as well be locked now (it maybe should have been from the get go). Do we really need another 20 page chaingate/frank holding off Contador via a collarbone break discussion here?

Contador didn't have a flat tire. He had warped a rim the result of Frank's crash when someone slammed into his rear wheel, I believe breaking a spoke. At the time of this particular crash, Contador was in the same group as Andy, Cancellara and the rest. He actually finished just behind the second group having eventually losing contact with them in the final km. He rode on this damaged wheel that was either rubbing on his brakes or frame or both for the final approx. 20 km or so.

Now that everything has been cleared, we can all finally see that someone that attacks on a mechanical doesn't deserve to be a champion.

I always had my concerns about Contador after that 2010 TDF. He demonstrated poor character and was a dishonor to the sport in general all other bigger issues aside. Attacking on a mechanical just isn't done. Lance demonstrated this many times, even waiting for almost a minute when Ulrich crashed.

Remember This?

It really is only justice that things ended up the way they did.

Andy Schleck is now recognized as the true 2010 TDF Winner, and rightfully so.

Goodbye AC, you deserve what you are getting

Where are those gunslingers now Pistolero :D

You are absolutely right and I congratulate you for your brave stance on this forum. May I also point out Ullrich waited/did not attack Armstrong when he rode into that kid on the side of the road and brought down Mayo, and neither when he went through the corn field. Another example of a true champion

...but having brought down Mayo and shortly after almost bringing him down again when his shoe slipped out of his pedal, do you honestly believe that Armstrong would've waited for Mayo if he (Mayo) had mechanical issues as a result of Armstrong's negligence? I think not.

I offer all the posters to keep silent about any ambiguous situation. Anyways there is the only one who always has a valid viewpoint. The name of this great man is The Hitch.

Oh I thought you meant the flat tire at the final of the stage

In hindsight, I now realize that was Hugo Koblet's post that you were responding to and he in fact could have been talking about an entirely different Tour than I was (mine was the 2009 Tour). So I should be the one with the

and on this note I shall close the thread, I am sure there is the chaingate thread somewhere in the archives(I will find the link for it later incase anyone wants to reread something that has been discussed to death) and of course there is the andy schleck appreciation thread for everyone who wants to celebrate his achievements! I guess due to andys popularity that is still on the first page :S
