Saw a few good movies this week (what else to do in the summer on a small college campus :))

Our Idiot Brother was surprisingly funny
Wanderlust similar

and I decided to rewatch the Flying Scotsman. One of my favorite cycling movies!

Dark Night Rises premieres this weekend. The only casting question mark I have is Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Should be great regardless.

I have always loved Anne Hathaway. Somehow, she looks super sexy and cool in every role. She has transformed herself a lot for this role, and has undergone extensive training to learn it. Besides, she also claimed to have seen youtube videos to learn what cats do :) LOL!
So, I guess she is going to be great in that movie!

Yes, I've seen "Bruno" (also based on a TV character :p). It was funny, but not "Borat" funny.

Agreed, Borat was way better than Bruno. Or may be, I saw Borat earlier, so I found it better.

Would love to watch Flying Scotsman, again :)
Our idiot brother would be nice addition, I hope :)

Just back from watching The Dark Knight Rises and I have to say it's a brilliant movie. The place was sold out beforehand for it and everyone who was there was just raving about it when it finished. It lives up to all the hype that it has got from reviewers. I won't give away any spoilers so I advise you to just watch it for yourselves. It is well well worth it. Trust me.

BTW Anne Hathaway is stunning looking in it.:)

Hah I literally just went tonight too. Really good movie!!

I give it a thumbs up too. Two thumbs up for stunning Anne, as she actually did not ruin the movie as I had feared.

I thought Heath Ledger player a better dark role in Dark Knight 2008 than the villain in this latest move, but they were different kinds of characters.

I didnt think the dark knight was rises was all that brilliant... it was very good I would say 8 out of 10 but for me it is not close to as good as the dark knight and bane is really cool and has a great voice and jacket but the joker was far better... good film though and well worth watching.

Pretty much agree. It was an amazing looking movie that's for sure, but I found it rather convoluted or perplexing at times. To me it's the weakest of the Nolan/Bale trilogy, but that doesn't mean it was a bad film. Not at all. The bar from Dark Knight in retrospect was set impossibly high, and Heath Ledger's Joker unmatchable.

Nolan, Bale and this team are finished with Batman. It will likely be a decade before someone else comes in and takes the character on. By then we quite possibly could see a focus on Batman & Robin. The bar for that would be pretty low, considering the Schumarcher film bearing that name with Clooney & O'Donnell was terrible.

do not waste you money on Savages. Oliver Stone has lost his edge by a large margin.

everything with michael caine is 9/10 or better :p

Anyways, movies with Michael Douglas is almost every time really good (Wall Street, the game etc.) or highly entertaining (the in laws)

Never watched Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps But the Audience Will, did you?

This has nothing to do with what to watch this weekend, but I managed to make it through The Green Hornet and I can say with pretty high confidence that it had the worst acting I have ever seen by a lead in a big budget film. It was brutal.
