Only an ignorant fool or a liberal Obama sychophant can't recognize the Donald Rumsfeld was ideal as Sec. Def. in the post 9-11 era. America needed a kicka$$ and take names later Sec. Def. The fact that in the 8 years post 9-11 America did not suffer another terrorist attack speaks volumes for the work Rumsfeld did as Sec. Def.

LOL. Rumsfeld??? The most incompetent Secretary of Defense in the history of the country? That Rumsfeld? It looked like Robert McNamara had a lock on that title, but Rumsfeld managed to beat him hands down.

I bet good old Brownie and Donald have some good phone calls these days as they regale each other with tales of monumental unfitness for their old jobs.

Sorry. I misunderstood. So, you're okay with Lance winning if he is the best man, you're just hoping he's not the best man. Somehow I didn't get that from, "I don't want the guy to win."

I never attributed those two other quotes to you. I didn't even attribute the first quote to you (until now).

Here's a tip....quote the person who said it, don't mix them together, there will be no confusion....I stand by what I have said, it's my opinion I am expressing not anyone else's opinion. It's not a particular sporting thing to say, I know, but I don't give a rats.

The best man will win, it's going to be decided in the coming weeks. Some of us a just sick of the media only covering one person, and that doesn't make us haters, that's makes us frustrated.

Thursday night as I was channel surfing I came across the footy show, and the captain of Brisbane Bronco's (rugby league team for anyone who is not familiar) was on talking about the game, they had a previously retired player returning to the team, then the next thing he is on about how they were wearing yellow and how it was all organised in January when LA was here for TDU and they are auctioning the jerseys which, had you guessed it LA's name on them, so I can't seem to get away from it, even when looking at other sports....Also there is an AFL team which will be wearing them as well...all for a good cause of course.

You aren't alone Alpé!

I have only heard or seen 2 mentions here in the news (Australia) about anyone else who is riding in TDF, and right now I am hoping for some sort of misfortune to happen for Mr Armstrong, cause quite frankly if I have to hear about how good he is all tour, it will do my head in!

Let me get this straight, you are hoping some misfortune happens to Armstrong because the press choose to focus on him and because he may win because he is good?

Thats more than a little sad, but fits in with the thinking of most of the Lance haters on here.

Bet Eddie M is glad that there was no internet back when he was racing or he would have had the same flak from the Bigboats, Alp du Huez and Bro's of his day posting the same old crap.

I thought I had already explained this several posts ago.

Make of it what you will, and I hope that when you see something written about another rider, that isn't so kind, that you label the person expressing their opinion a hater as well. Cause quite frankly I have read a lot of opinions about riders I like that are a just as unkind or for that fact nastier then what I have said.

I hope he has mechanical after mechanical and gets dropped every time the climbing gets serious. (I wonder is something unfortunate does happen in terms of injury, what Versus will do in terms of programing. I'll bet we get 30 minute highlights at 11 pm)

Please, please count me as a "hater." I am eating my "hater-tots" and drinking my "hater-aid" right now. I am adding some "hater-cakes" and "hater-diet Coke" to the mix. I will add some "hater-chicken salad" for lunch, and for dinner some "hater-fresh tomatoes, chick peas, green peppers, and onions from my garden," "hater-baguette," and "hater-blackened ribeye" for dinner. And for desert, some "hater-Mexican vanilla creme brulee"

Mmmmmmm

LMAO.

While I hope that the LA love/hate can be mitigated.

A straight up statement on your feelings is very respected.

Lets let the riders show what they have.

Mmmmmm, blackened anything. I like it spicy and I think the tour is going to be just that

I will place my bet that the Tour will not live up to its promise. I don't see a lot of places for good action. Judging by the way the Tour is usually raced, I think we may see the mountain stages to be mostly processions until the last little bit. How much is there that an in form Cancellara cannot lead CSC nearly to the top?

Maybe there will be some unexpected and surprising stages. The Giro had a couple.

I think that the radio free days will lead to a little bit more suspense. I don't think that anything GC status will change. But all of the GC contenders will need to watch everyone. That will be interesting.
