GW had all to do with the weather. The riders didn't even had to race, to create carnage.

So i'll go with the race where the riders really had an attacking attitude.

1) Lombardia
2) Dwars door Vlaanderen
3) Strade

Omloop for me. as I turned the tv on I saw Stannard with 3 Etixx. I wished "oh how great would it be if he could make it"
wow
he did it
I saw that sprint twenty times!

I didnt see Gent Wevelgem, and Strade Bianche so I voted Il Lombardia.
RVV was also good, don't know why most people dislike it, but such an attack by the probably strongest sprinter of the race, is anything but normal and the chase by GVA and Sagan at the end was exciting too

GW of course - anyone who watched the race will agree. There is no arguing to the contrary. :p

I'd go for Strade Bianche slightly ahead of GW. I think SB was more interesting tactically and, even up to the foot final climb it was very difficult to pick a winner - with the three riders evenly matched. Great attacking throughout and its always good to have a race where you see some of the Ardennes specialists up against the cobbles riders.

GW was great fun to watch, but for me the wind was ultimately too big a factor, it meant luck played too much of a role in deciding who made it into the breaks and, although it was really entertaining, I prefer it when luck is a very minor factor in racing.

I disagree. The weather mattered, and caused the carnage, but that doesn't mean there wasn't racing, also. The riders didn't just let the weather decide the race, there were still tactical moves, power moves, and the kind of cycling that the best stages with normal weather have.

GW. Even if it had all to do with the weather, that was the best race to watch this season. Sometimes the route and the riders create the excitement, sometimes the weather. This time it was the latter and it was brutal and amazing to watch.

I'm not sure why San Sebastián is on that list, considering the live coverage was about 5 minutes :D
OTOH it my have been a great attacking race for all we know.

GW was fantastic, the final 100k were mad. Oss was dropped with about 40 to go and ended up losing 5 minutes as the pace was so high. Thomas fighting to get back on, Terpstra getting back on, then Paolini being dropped when Oss was dropped and got back on despite looking worse than him for a couple of minutes. Paolini outsmarting the rest in the final 15k where it was Thomas who was probably the strongest. All great.

Strade second, Lombardia third as I missed Omloop.

RVV and PR weren't too bad, there have been much worse in recent years and LBL this year was like GW compared to year before.

Montréal must have been nice as well, shame we only got to see the finishing straight.

Simply one of the best editions of GW I've ever seen, if not the best - has to get my vote.

By the way, since when has John Degenkolb been a member of these forums? It looks to me as if this year's PR actually got a vote

It wasn't Degenkolb's fault though, the stiff headwind really made for a really bad race

Just had to vote for Omloop. Seriously the funniest scenario of the year, when Etixx screwed up so badly, and the afterplay with Lefevre trying to excuse Stannards win on his usual pathetic way

Lombardia. But that may be because I finally had an opportunity to watch it yesterday so it is fresh in my mind.

People saying G-W was all about the weather are clearly forgetting that that was the day Jürgen Roelandts became a GOD AMONGST MEN.

Lol. There could have been two of them if I could have been bothered with such stupid things as polls. And I can't stand Degenkolb. Paris-Roubaix is Paris-Roubaix and even when it's boring, it still remains Paris-Roubaix; in a league of its own. It's not like any other races. Stage races or other classics don't compare to it.

Ghent-Wevelgem was the best among the other races. Libertine said it all. ;)

Otherwise, I can't believe the Slag om Norg didn't get a mention. Oh well, it's CN...
