United States - Farrar
Slovenia - Brajkovic
Denmark - Breschel
Colombia - Rujano
Poland - Szmyd (not too familiar with many others)
Ireland - Roche
Portugal - Paulinho
New Zealand - Henderson

And what about:
Russia - Menchov
Norway - Hushovd
Holland - Gesink
Austria - Eisel
Germany - Martin
UK - Cav
Belarus - Hutarovich

Surely some of them are outside of the 'obvious answer' category. Didn't bother listing Switzerland or Slovakia though.
Edit: Forgot that Slovakia has Velits, who could be a valid challenger to Sagan for Best Slovakian Rider.

I havent slept in what is approaching 45 hours so i have no idea what i have done here.
You are right, Slovakia isnt so obvious. I tried to look at Slovakian riders through cq but they didnt have a list. Yes Velitz is.

And for some reason i didnt include Germany. I think i thought it was only Tony Martin that was German, totaly forgeting about Gorrila, which shows just how tired i am.

But the following

Russia - Menchov
Norway - Hushovd
Holland - Gesink
Uk - Cav

Are pretty obvious

Belarus its Huta vs Vasily but they werent in the top 25.
OH and Rujano isnt Colombian

There's Carlström at least and for some reason Matti Helminen got a contract with Landbouwkredit at 35 years age. They had some good talents in Kimmo Kananen and Jukka Vastaranta (who rode a couple seasons for Rabobank) but they haven't made a lasting impression on the pro ranks.

You choose Contador "by a mile" over Valverde based on Palmares, then in the next breath say that Boonen (whose palmares is similarly superior to Gilbers as AC's is to Valverde) is "nowhere near Gilbert"

So whats Gilbert then :rolleyes::cool::rolleyes:

Boy are we going to need to jump high into the tiers to identify Gilbis great skills as a climber sprinter and time trialist if Valverde is only second tier.

He does, last 2 seasons were simply better. That's all that matters.

Boonen is a second tier sprinter by the way.

Gilbert is a world class puncheur. Boonen is world class on the cobbles.

In no world is 1 classic better than 4 classics.
Paris-Roubaix is not bigger than winning Giro di Lombardia twice, winning AGR and Paris-Tours(against the very same Boonen btw)
