Hi everyone,

A couple of months ago I moved to Dutch Brabant, right on the Belgian border.

This spring I wanted to go see my first Roubaix (the Tour of Flanders will be on Easter weekend and I’ll be at home in italy…).
The finish line is less than two and a half hours from where I live…

Has anyone here already been?

Do you have any suggestions on where it’s best to go, where to park the car, what time to arrive, etc.? All the practical stuff basically.

I was thinking of going to one of the last cobbled sectors (Carrefour, Mons-en-Pévèle, Templeuve–Moulin de Vertain)…
but maybe you have better suggestions.

thank you to anyone who can give suggestion

:grinning:

I've only watched once so no expert, for whats its worth I went Carrefour hoping to perhaps seen a decisive move, but MVDP was already away and on his own.
The key thing for this year is that all four races are on the same day, so get there early.

Thread title changed, to avoid confusion with race thread when it appears

I was expecting this to just become one of the race threads.
Just add "Men's" or "Women's" (or "Hommes" or "Femmes" if being fancy), as well as number of kms to the title, and maps and profiles to the first post.
Maybe even with an indicator of spectating-location.

Carrefour at the 90° turn, they pass slow because of it and one by one so it's nice you can see riders during 15+ minutes.
Quite hard to reach by car though. Always went with my bike.
Lots of campers there.
As for me i often go at Templeuve because it's the closest to home and just after Pévèle
