Someone should explicitly address the backdated TUE Lance got in 1999. That was clear-cut UCI corruption right then and there but it's hardly being addressed in the flood of interviews and articles on (anti)doping, and Madiot doesn't touch on it either.

The issue Madiot addresses is less concerning and less urgent, IMO.

As if corticosteroids were the biggest problem among the PEDs...

Madiot and these MPCC all the time talk about water pistols (cortisone) instead of the cannons (EPO and transfusions).

Gateway drug.

Once you stick a needle into yourself it opens a door. A door you'll never get to go back through.

Trust me.

It's a brave stance.
Why not start with that? After all Lance's 1999 TUE is one of the major controversies.

Most of the teams of MPCC are believable teams as well.

If those idiots at US Cycling never stuck a needle in Armstrong when he was 16 he wouldn't have become the monster he did.

Turned the boy into an addict. Criminal behaviour.

No, cortisone is not a drug you start with, except you take it in pills.

Cortisone gets injected into the muscle, while EPO gets into the vein or under the skin.

Muscle injections aren´t much more painful, if done correctly, but if you hit a nerve or a vein inside the muscle, it really is painful.

Well, it seems that the bloom is off the EPO usage in 2012. There's a more current quote from Ferrari in another thread where he claims no one is doing it now. Some aspects of cycling athlete performances confirm this.

Perhaps there is still some if you are blessed by the UCI, but not like Wonderboy's usage.

I'd argue much of the doping now is recovery doping. No threat of dying from a heart attack. Over a time period of months recovery doping would lead to substantial improvements over a clean rider.

We also know that WADA is generally speaking a few years behind the latest doping technology too. So, whatever Sky was using in 2012 won't turn into a scandal for another couple of years. Perhaps there's another, better, EPO equivalent now?

If Amrstrong wasn't such a dooooosh too begin with maybe he wouldn't have turned into the mega dooooosh that he became.
