Very very surprised to see Hindley in that front group, post Tour and in a parcours where you don't expect him to be up there at all.

UAE guys and Cosnefroy looked the strongest so far, so I reckon it's gonna be ine of them.

Damn De Buyst looked insanely good today, could've made that first group I reckon. He's having the best legs he's ever had lately.

Smart and strong sprint from Madouas. FDJ tactical masterclass today.

And Aranburu is just the king of meh results, although he obviously lost out on a (possible) top 10 by trying to close the gap by himself. If only he had been more alert when the group got away.

John Degenkolb is the king of meh results when it comes to World Championships and spring and fall classics, except that he was too good for that in Roubaix this season.

While Madouas' win was definitely great, I - being totally unbiased - feel like some praise should be given to Wandahl, a guy who just a few months ago could barely walk after he broke his femur in a crash during training, and missed out on the Giro.
