Can I take a pulley from a super record rear-derailleur and put it on a record one ?

Yes, and opposite also. All 11tooth pulleys from Campagnolo rear ders are cross compatible. Use the ones from Athena or Chorus to save $, get same performance. Make sure you note the upper or lower pulley markings and inside or outside, direction of spin..otherwise you will have chain noise. Stay away from after market ones, more $, less performance and longevity and 'cool' doesn't enter into it cuz...well, it's on the rear der. and you are moving. Who cares what people think at the coffee shop before the ride. It's about the ride, not the bike.
StinkFist said:Yes...why not upgrade to some carbon pulleys. Save some weight and look cool.
There are a ton of other places on a bicycle to save weight.....swapping out Jockey Wheels???? Really??
"Look Cool" ?? I don't get that part![]()
Maybe a need to take a closer look at other riders Drive Trains to ascertain their "Coolness"![]()

Looks like you've ticked all the boxes there![]()
Without knowing your digits, it looks to be a very aggressive set up.....slammed stem etc.
Any neck, shoulder or lower back pain during or after long rides?

StinkFist said:Ray - what sort of weights are we talking about here??
Frame and fork =
Complete bike with pedals =
StinkFist said:Ray - thanks for the comprehensive weight break downs.
Whats the goal here? I mean, can you or do you race these machines??......or just trying to get an uber-lightweight bike and enjoying the journey / process?
Have you considered running a singe CR up front, losing the front mech and the associated shifting components? --surely more weight loss there?
StinkFist said:Save some trivial and meaningless weight, look like a tosser. But hey, at least they're expensive.
I still can't see, unless it specifically pointed out to me, how ones Jockey Wheels can make you like either Cool or look like a Tosser??
Anyways...whatever blows your hair back![]()
I know where I can immediately shave some weight from.....none of it's on my bike(s) -![]()

Perhaps more to with being perceived as a tosser if you bang on about how you've saved 4 grams. Yes, they're not likely to be noticed unless the owner points them out. And when they inevitably do....well.....

Simple, really.
It's that I don't really believe you. There is probably little you can do that can change that. And even if you really do climb long 12%+ grades in the Alps and Pyrenees in the big ring, I also just think it is really, really stupid to do so.

Well I have been riding for quite some time and it just happens to be the way I ride. I have some pretty decent times up cols in my bag but obviously you would not believe them if I posted them.
I did not mention that I ride in a 53t all the time as a "macho statement " It was to explain why I put the downtube shifter on the front mech as I don't use the paddle and it drops more weight as I don't flick between the front rings.
I have kept the 39 front mech because it would not be a racing bike without it IMO. " I like that look"
I have never had any issues physically riding on my 53t and it works for me. So It's not "stupid" or makes me
"stupid" it just not something you do or can do " I don't know you" When I was a cycle courier "London" I had a 54t on my courier bike.
I don't understand why you would think I would lie but obviously that's your issue to deal with.
I have only posted in a good spirit and have been truthful and am happy to ask any questions about my bike that I posted. "Its lucky I didn't post my other racing bike it's way lighter"
You obviously have a problem with my bike my gear choice and your posts have just been negative and its obvious you have an issue with what I do, which is "your problem"
