Is it possible? Or is the tour over before it even started? With porte and froome in the team? And possible Wiggins too?

And maybe someone else will rise too.

Will something change in the next months?

It became so bad that when a sky guy drops I always think it's on purpose that they drop. I know it's stupid but that's how good they seem to me.

Edit: I ****ed up the title "Can Sky be destroyed be in the Tour?" Can a mod fix it? Thanks

They will be the strongest team in the race by a country mile. But they might not win. But I think they will.

This thread needs a poll. You of all people should know how to do that;), lol there it is

I know a couple of way's to do it, but all of them would involve somebody risking to go to jail:D

Didn't put that one up since i know that's not gonna happen in the next years :(

And well no clinic ;)

Maybe the way to derail them is in the medium short explosive climb. If the climber can start stacking their time during that stage, then come long mountain climb, all you have to do just hang with the train. The recipe to beat the train, is you have to have to have a lead before going to the long mountain, then hang with them. We are all saw how the train works. They just shed people and drag them until the last KM. And most of the time, the GC rider can hang just fine with that pace. (they just can't attack). So if you got the lead ahead of any sky leader, SKY have to attack, that means the train can't happen. And of course you gotta be someone like contador, purito, andy to be the one that has the lead to make it effective

(and Andy)

....lol

I know lol

but Who else? There's no one else besides Contador.

Purito can only do 1km sprints. And yeah can't think anyone

Andy has the potential and i still think there's a good chance he'll be ready.

The SKY is very strong first week and Contador without falling. In the second week SKY and Contador equal. And the third Contador top, breaking the train of SKY, fight between PORTE and FROME, I do not know if enough to Contador win.

of course
contador and andy in their top form(tourmalet 2010 let's call it) could beat them
also we have europcar and others(even purito). it won't be easy for sky, i still believe that

lolwut??

you clearly have no idea what awaits us at the Tour
Froome is still far far from peaking and he is already destroying everyone to pieces

Sky peaked too early, and everyone is lazy at this time of the year. When the tour comes, the train will be nowhere to be seen, meanwhile Rogers will pull Contador up the climbs and deliver him 1 km from the finish line where he will attack and destroy everyone.

There are a couple of options to stop sky. On paper i think Saxo and Movistar are the two strongest teams to take them on. Im not to sure about Purito, last year in the vuelta he stayed with Contador for as long as possible which made for great entertainment but I dont know does he have it for the Tour and does he have the team to do it with him. As for Saxo Bank, I have been disapointed by them so far this season. Roche has unfortunately not set the world on fire and his climbing problems in the closing problems have let him down again. I was impressed by Roman in Tirreno when he took the fight to sky on one stage, it showed promise. Are they going to go with Roche, Roman and Rogers or stick with Contadors old reliables that have been with him in his previous wins and know how to get the job done? As for Movistar they have two cards to play in Valverde and Quintana. Throw in Smydt who can sit at the front and set a very good pace and the likes of Rui Costa, Intauxti and they could be a threat. Europcar could do something but it would be a longshot, a stage and top ten more realistic. I think Tejay will end up being the BMC leader. What will the sky team be? Froome, Wiggins, Henao??

Snipped...

J-Rod consistently dropped Contador in the Vuelta last year. And he has already dropped Wiggins this year.

J-Rod will be a very useful figure in dismantling the Sky train in the mountains. However the (T)TTs will prevent him from winning the race overall.

That's gonna be an interesting decision. Last year they kept the same core of riders around Wiggins throughout the early season, but seem to be mixing it up a little this year.

They need to give Wiggins a strong team for the Giro as well as thinking of Froome at the Tour, and with people like EBH, Stannard and Thomas in their 'Classics Group' as well I wonder how they're gonna balance it out.

At least there's no Cav to complicate matters this year for them.

My guess would be a core of Knees, Uran, Cataldo, Lopez and Porte with Wiggins in the Giro, then Henao, Siutsou, Kiryienka, Stannard and EBH with Froome at the Tour.
