The Jan and Schleck photos aren't bad really. It just that CN continues to splather them over and over again. I mean if you saw each of them once or twice, they are ok, but come on man, enough already!

I'm amused by how much you all seem to care is all.

And I am amused by how much you care about how much we all seem to care. You seem to believe it is substantively different in character of uselessness.

Are they trying to be zany?
Photos of people making whimsical gestures and poses that are unfamiliar and unexplained make me uncomfortable. I don't like this picture and I want it to go away. That is all.

Damien Hirst is gonna take the top half of them, amputate their legs, and dip them in formaldehyde for some minotaur artwork, and Matthew Barney is gonna take their legs for the next installment of Cremaster. Gunther Von Hagens wants their genitals.

I just take comfort in the fact that in less than six months we won't have to see it anymore; the SaxoBank kit will be outdated and then we'll get new shots! Please, Luxembourg team, no silly poses!

How can you recognize a serious cyclist?
They're the ones who never have any fun!
(even in publicity photos!)
Fun is sin.

Fun is filth.

Fun should be outlawed and everyone having it ought to be persecuted.

Please select the most appropriate response:

(A) TFF has too much time on his hands

(B) Cycling is a boring sport - even during transfer season, slightly goofy photos are the best conversation material the net tifosi can come up with

(C) Net tifosi are super serious web geeks who've forgotten that life can be fun

(D) The photo is ok because both of them (especially Frank) both have their tops ON (unlike that god-awful shot of Frank with Boonen we never want to see again - now THAT is a terrible photo).

(E) All of the above.

The comments that I deleted were of a sexual nature and therefore inappropriate.

As was yours.

Susan

Perhaps you ought to ask your friends to stop posting the photo to stop us having thoughts of a sexual nature about it.

Sexual nature? OK... if you read them that way then fine...

I feel like I've walked into a 16th Century Puritan timewarp.

"You have been having unclean dirty sexual thoughts about the Schleck brothers."

I'm guessing CN likes to use this image because they don't have to pay some photographer a license to use it? Isn't it promotional material released by Saxo, or some such?

the best thing about this thread is that it is self defeating. The photo will never ever... ever go away as long as we keep responding to this thread. Every day it will be in the 'today's posts' list. And you just know that the original posters will keep coming back here to see what was said and they'll see the photo AGAIN. :D

I may make it my mission to keep this bumped onto the front page... .
