Look at De Lie boxed in again in a small group and still easily bossing that sprint. He needs a better team.

Because he gets boxed in in a 20 man group he needs a better team LOL? I you manage to do that that's your own fault. You can't expect to have teammates there anymore.

What you can expect tho is your team riding in the peloton when that break had a minute. Absolut joke they didn't, cause they had like 4 domestiques left at that point.

Frustated at non-UAE riders not gifting him the win
Except they literally were pulling for him before McNulty got to the group, and were getting slaughtered for it in this thread. Literally everything went fine and he was getting a big lead out into the climb and he just sat up lol one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen

Yeah I know. But with a team he could’ve sprinted for the win.

He had a team, they just decided to not do anything. It had nothing do to with strength, just a weird tactical decision. I'm not sure why. In the final De Lie has to do it himself and that has nothing to do with the team (Berckmoes even rode at the front with 1k to go btw).

There's a lot of teams who made tactical mistakes today, Lotto is one of them.

To me it felt like he actually expected the other to pull through. McNulty was really at his limit so he was losing ground to the front group, and for some bizarre reason he felt the rest were freeloading to kamikazed his chances. It would be very UAE

Hats off to Mister Julian. What a performance, such a smart ride, this is what we need more. Riders not afraid to attack Pogacar, try to antecipate his move. No one is unbeatable!
I hope to see Ala back to his best, he is such a lovely character and rider.

I think Pogacar believed he would have to empty himself on the climb just to catch the Alaphilippe group leaving him nothing left for the sprint.
